My thoughts exactly. The people developing these things always seem to put far too much emphasis on the skin of the robot. It looks pretty good and all, but it may as well be a wax sculpture. It can't demonstrate any behavior that might pass as even remotely human-like.
People did live without electricity, gas and phone lines for several millennia. Does that mean they can cut them off? And if you were provided with free gas, heating, electricity and transportation for years and then quickly cut off for no reason, you'd be troubled as well.
You'd be troubled, but you probably wouldn't have legal grounds to sue for hundreds of thousands of dollars. This guy would be lucky to get his account re-enabled, even if he is actually innocent. Facebook pretty much owes him nothing.
Starcraft 2 map/mod makers mainly focus on stirring up a bunch of bullshit drama in order to gain visibility. This seems to often take the form of them using words or phrases that are explicitly not allowed and then bitching when they inevitably get shut down by blizzard.
Thanks to the current implementation of the custom map system on battle.net, gameplay and other such minor details are secondary concerns.
My gut is that there is something fundamental we aren't getting. Like we are missing some basic software pack. It' works, but when ever we try to add models to it, specifically the tools need to create trains and rails, it never loads them.
A lot of stuff that people use to build things in garry's mod doesn't come with the game.
There are some addons that are so widely used that they're practically required. At a minimum I would recommend "PHX Model Pack 3" and "Wire Mod".
Adding a folder in gmod's "addons" folder and putting the files in it is sufficient for installing an addon.
Additionally, content from other source games such as Half-Life 2, TF2, and Counterstrike is also widely used. Installing those may help with missing models/textures.
I imagine catering to a less skilled but broader audience translates into higher sales. It's all about numbers, you know.
Also, it seems that people are increasingly willing to buy watered down shit, ignoring quality and focusing on theme. I'm looking at you, sports games.

*That pretty much says it all, eh. /thread
That is the whole point. If he just wore it like a backwards headlamp, he could take it off at his convenience.
He could cover the installed camera at his convenience just as easily. The only point is publicity.

Can wasps giggle?
Suing hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world could be tricky.
not only slightly smaller (or would be if it was variable pitch) but also a good deal more readable

They can be downloaded and updated via SVN:

I would have a lot more respect for the show if their only possible conclusions were "confirmed" and "inconclusive"
Mythinconclusioners.. hm..
I've never... played Warhammer III
I think they skipped 3 and went straight to 40000.
It doesn't say they aren't exciting. Only that they aren't responded to.
But yes they're pretty much all total garbage.
What is this, preschool?
News for... hmm
Stuff that... ah, nevermind.
Fool me... 15 times... :(
He wants his graphics back.
The blame lies with media, public figures, politicians, but mostly ourselves.
The implication that something bad has occurred is nonsense.
A certain selection of words has become more common over the years, so what?
Military people living on-base can just drive the extra five minutes to get to the off-base gamestop.
Pulling it from the base stores is a meaningless publicity stunt.
Truly remarkable.
How did they do it?
But if he says it's new it must be new. Then again he also talks about robots climbing things in space.
The scientific accuracy of nonsense effects and pure speculation by star wars clearly trumps that of star trek.
It would feel like being cut to shreds, clearly.
Must... construct... additional...
ARRGGHH
Ah, the futility of attempting to equate money with any kind of tangible object.
