Too lazy to Google it, but I read a year or so ago that enterprise class drives failed just as often as consumer class drives & I thought that Google switched to consumer drives for this reason.
Alas, my memory is not what it once was, so I may be wrong. I can provide the anecdote that in my own company (hundreds/thousands of drives in various RAIDs), we don't see a longevity difference.
Man, if I had a dollar for every AC that quit reading/. when they read something offensive, I'd have enough money to never leave my room & play games all day... hmm, sounds like a kickstarter...
For example, in Year 1 that useless letter "c" would be dropped to be replased either by "k" or "s", and likewise "x" would no longer be part of the alphabet. The only kase in which "c" would be retained would be the "ch" formation, which will be dealt with later. Year 2 might reform "w" spelling, so that "which" and "one" would take the same konsonant, wile Year 3 might well abolish "y" replasing it with "i" and iear 4 might fiks the "g/j" anomali wonse and for all.
Generally, then, the improvement would kontinue iear bai iear with iear 5 doing awai with useless double konsonants, and iears 6-12 or so modifaiing vowlz and the rimeiniing voist and unvoist konsonants. At the risk of going completely OT, I used to live where sub zero (f, not c) was the norm all winter and 85-90f was considered hot in the summer, but since moving to TX I get quite cold anything below 40f and can tolerate 100f. Weird how one acclimates.
True in theory, but in practice, 'snap'ing things in Win7 is easier (faster) on multiple screens than 1 large screen. I work in 4 columns on 2 monitors, this would be (slightly) more effort on 1 larger screen.
As much as I hate undoing my mods, are you saying parents of children with special needs should never go to the movies? If I sit on the aisle and have my phone set to vibrate & hit the silent key to check to see if it is the sitter (mind you, if I had a smartphone, I would be smart enough to set the screen brightness to automatic, as is, my flip phone screen is not bright at all & I can see who is calling on the small outer screen), how am I diminishing your experience? If it is the sitter, I can leave the room and either answer, or if it is too late to answer, call her back.
TL;DR Some people are so important they need to be reachable and sometimes these people need to get out and decompress at a movie. The key is not being a rude a-hole about it, many people seem to fail at this.
And I wasn't about to entrust my login credentials to any of the applications which offer to give me this functionality.
Use 2-stage authentication with application-specific passwords. I don't mind giving them qwsd-gtsd-bvxd-kgxv for a password (quick - try it on mine:P) as I know from past experience that Google monitors how they use the password & notifies me if something seems fishey to them (as they did once).
So a smartphone has been redefined to mean a touchscreen-only phone? Is your smartphone experience limited to iPhone? Rather than redefine a word, why not say "what I really mean is that it'll be very hard to buy anything but a touchscreen-only phone"
This favours weak machines. Battery life should be given as idle, web browsing, watching HD video and full load. Measuring just 1 of any of these doesn't give the full picture.
I use Page Plus (VZW MVNO) and couldn't be happier. The $80 a YEAR plan is sufficient minutes for my needs & I already have wifi everywhere I spend more then 30 minutes at a time (not the grocery store, etc, but I can go sometimes as much as an hour without internet before getting the shakes...:) ). Flip phone (forever battery life) + 7" tablet (Google Voice for text + Talkatone when I need to talk more) FTW.
It also keeps track of where in the episode I left off, even if I am on a different device. For episodic content, this is really, really handy. Maybe I started an episode on my TV & finish it on my lunch break on my tablet, I don't have to remember the episode number or where in the show I was, I can simply hit play.
Pogoplug
Not sure how open it is, but I can access my HDD on my plug anywhere, $25 for the hardware & $0 for the service.
I worry about when they refer to it as the good ole days.

If it's free, who cares? Just don't forget redundancy. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, and all that.

That has as much chance of happening as:

And you would die of heatstroke at 110-115f, quite common here in Texas.

Buckey Balls were an adult product and you saw what happened to them. Say good-by to your beloved tiny ships in bottles, they're going next!
My (old) pennies are worth 2 cents ...

MMS simply delivers via email. NBD in my book.
Oh, crap, I've got 4! ;)
Especially when you consider two of the most visited pages have 3 each (including their .com)
People like you (not necessarily you specifically) are why we have the TSA today.

I know, right? I'm just glad I remembered to tick the 'Post Anonymously' box.
Crap.
There's a theatre in Perrysburg? I haven't lived in the area for 10+ years, but I thought you had to drive into Maumee.
^This. The day my office goes paperless is the day I have to go printer shopping ...

It's not being shocked you need to worry about, it's the vapors!
