I can tell you that at least in the class 8 trucking world, the manufacturers know very well what the realistic conditions are. They work very hard to do just enough to pass the emissions regulations and then they move everything around elsewhere in the calibration maps to sacrifice the performance in the tails areas and get the best possible performance in the areas that customers actually drive the trucks.
Being near a ground plane can generate down-force. The wing might be shaped to generate a little lift to counteract that. Though it seems too high off of the ground for the ground plane to come into play much.
That is true for engines with carburetors. A fuel injected engine would only use the same amount for a few minutes at idle if you were cranking it for a few minutes. When you are actually cranking the engine, it uses about the same amount of fuel as is needed to idle.
One thing to consider is that what you believe to be fair punishment for a crime likely has some basis on what culture you were brought up in and how "tough" on crime that culture is.
Take a look at this one from Corsair then. http://www.corsair.com/products/survivor/default.aspx
Its case is aluminum and waterproof. And the keyring hole is very strong. You do have to unscrew the lid every time you open it, but that doesn't bother me much. Also, the 2 rubber bands on the outside came off of mine. Again, doesn't matter to me. I am very impressed with the quality of the aluminum case and it has a 10-yr warranty.
Yes the way others play effects the individual hands. But I doubt it has an overall effect on your odds of winning. If a player hits on a 20, they could just as easily burn a low card that you would have gotten and the jack could be next.
Just because she let go of the bag does not mean that it is no longer in orbit. When you let go, the bag doesn't just stop in that point over the earth. It is still in orbit (pretty much the same orbit as the station.) As it slowly drifts away, the orbit of the station and the bag slowly become different.
He said that individuals could not take apart the drive. He did say that data recovery firms and gov't agencies could take apart the drive and have it for 30 days.
People are that stupid though. The people who would call the police thinking that a nerf gun was a real gun are the same people that sounded the alarm over LED mooninites.
Yes, but the problem here is that the machines are being designed and programed by said humans, and the rest of us are not allowed to see the design/program.
Where do you think current AC units dump all the heat that they extract? What the GP is suggesting just cuts out the middle man (AC). The AC units produce quite a bit if heat themselves.
Exactly. They set a high award to punish the defendant. Punishment belongs in criminal cases. This was a civil case and they should award damages to make the plaintiff whole.
Even solids loose mass through vapor. Excited atoms on the surface can leave the material into the atmosphere. I assume that they have thought of that and accounted for it though.
This probably cannot account for the fact that the sample is loosing mass relative to the others, but they could all be loosing a little bit of mass because of this.
I believe that the concern is that AMD could use the NDA to prevent the press from writing negative articles. The purpose of an NDA should be to protect trade secrets.
When I was destroying drives for my company, the platters were made differently depending on model. Some would bend tip-to-tip without breaking and others would shatter with a single blow.
I agree with the parent. The investment company that I worked at over this summer used about 400TB in magnetic tapes per week for the past month and a half. And CAT 6 can carry just over 1GB/s.
I have to disagree. You could leave the book on the copier on accident because you forgot. copying a page is not illegal if you plan to use it for research. I do not see a reason to put up a file for download other than to distribute it.
The article states that the material acts through photocatalysis. It uses light to break down the pollutants into less harmful compounds and releases them. This is similar to a catalytic converter in a car, but using light instead of heat. No absorption.
Also, people who are citing the 30% increase in price are forgetting the fact that you don't have to use this for the entire structure, just the surface. The article mentions a price of about 120 USD to paint a 5 story building.
Slidetude System:
'A fixed slide tube made of either metal or hard plastic/fiberglass will extend from the access arm level of the ML tower or FSS to the existing bunker located on the west side of the pad.
'The egress route will be across the access arm to the slide tube, down the slide tube to the bunker, and into the bunker. Each person would enter the tube one at a time from the crew access level on the tower and slide the distance to the bunker.'
The first thing that came to mind when I read this was that they could purchase the sections from McDonalds for the slide. It would have to end in a ball-pit in the bunker though.
The onion nailed this two and a half months ago:

Very similar systems are being developed to aid A/C units in cars with stop/start engines: http://www.sae.org/mags/aei/9864

Here is a story along a similar lines where Williams hosted a competition to drive an F1 car. http://www.britsonpole.com/the-fan-the-f1-car-and-the-experience-of-a-life-time-post16906

2. Maybe we could recycle used paper into fuel?
All you need for that is a match.

Try R-Factor. It has many more cars and classes. It also has tones of tracks (both user-made and official.)
People are that stupid though. The people who would call the police thinking that a nerf gun was a real gun are the same people that sounded the alarm over LED mooninites.
It bothers me when people are this condescending without RTFA. In the video, the guy states 6000K actual temperature.
