"only about 2,800 have been recovered....Until this spring, that is, when two lawyers...a clue to several important patents from the 1790's - including one from 1826 for the first internal combustion engine..." What? You didn't finish the thought. That quote doesn't make sense!
My brain can record audio from the internet (I can remember what I heard -- ever get a song stuck in your head). Are they going to try to regulate that too?
I don't know if this is good or bad. On one hand, it takes him away from Esp III, so it may turn out even worse. On the other hand, it takes him away from Esp III, so maybe someone else can step in and make it a good movie.
Many times I have to work, or something else keeps me from seeing a TV program I want to see. Don't they realize that if I can't record it, I can't watch it at all. And if I don't watch it, I'll never see the commericals?!
It's not the benchmark's that count. It's the programs I need to run. Every program I've tried that's written in Java takes longer to start up than one written in C/C++. Althought that may change with.Net:-)
Java has gotten better though. The programs are usable now days. (Just have that start up time as the virtual machine loads.) Use to be the programs loaded slow and ran slow.
Whatever you get, make sure the reader program you use has some kind of autoscroll feature. Its way better than having to keep hitting a button to get to the next page.

I would pay twice the going rate for a broadband connection if I could just get it were I live! There are still a lot of people who can only get dial-up. (And many are like me--no internet at work either)
I think you have to have the hardware they ask for. I tried it on a 1.4 GHz Athlon XP 1600 with 256 MB and an ATI All in wonder 7500 and I got the same error. (This was running Windows XP Home)
I tried it on an 1.8 GHz Athlon XP 2500 with 512 MB and an ATI 9600 and it worked fine.
I wonder how long before someone with lots of time on their hands hacks into the system and starts tampering with the messages...or how long until Amazon.com claims they have a patent on it...

You paid $120 a month for cable ?????!!!!

1. Make the books with no DRM whatsoever.
2. Create a society were people respect other peoples work, and won't pirate copies.
Maybe now they've decided to go after "The Lord of the Rings" and sue them too!

So..PLG is GPL?
American components....Russian components...all made in Taiwan!
While he's at it, think Straczynski could take on Star Wars Ep III too?

No...now the US Patent Office that's a different story :-)
and prompt actors and singers to refuse to appear on TV
Really? Yahoo!!
Didn't Disney's family sell the company after Walt passed away? I'm sure there's a chance Luca's family might be willing to sell.
Yeah, real clever, let's raise Darth Vader's son using HIS OWN LAST NAME OF SKYWALKER ON HIS HOME PLANET.
I'm not sure about the last name part. But the planet could make sense. After what happened to his mother, DV probably doesn't want to go there again.
You could just buy an ad from Google so your site shows up and you help keep google free for the rest of us :-)

Slighty off topic, but related:

Well said.
Why can't I have moderator points when I need them?!

Sounds like the training people receive for answering tech support lines.

Or maybe they just went to AMD and asked for (or bought) the specs.
Someone might actually be able to see the code to Gnome! Oh wait. Nevermind. :-)
Why would someone try to hack into an open source project?
