Am I the only one excited about the moon annoucement? I mean we went to the moon in the 60s and stopped in the 70s. That was 30 years ago. You would think by now, we'd have people on Pluto. Aren't you people science fiction fans? Doesn't exploring space excite you? Sure, you can look at stuff with a telescope, but why not try to go there and see it for yourself. Or send a telescope there, and get a better view.
And I'd like to see a network of communcation satellites placed thur the solar system, to make it easier for probes to report back to Earth.
And I've always thought it made more since to build a moon base first, instead of going to Mars. I know in the short run Mars looks more attractive. But in the long run, think of all we could learn from a permanet base in outer face. This knowledge could then be used to help other space ventures.
Used to be that any time you saw someone playing a video game in a movie (didn't matter what system or what game) you'd hear sound effects from the Atari 2600 Pac Man.
Not that I'm on the side of the Segway or anything, but isn't that kind of the same thing that will happen if your riding on a motorcycle and run out of gas?

She's also behind Earth:Final Conflict and has a role on that show too.
The employees at radioshack will probably like you doing that. Here's some names to give them if you dont want to give them yours:
O'Shack, Ray D.
Roberts, Len (Radioshack CEO)
I work for RadioShack (Yes, i know. I'm currently seeking employement elsewhere. Anybody out there need a VB programmer?).
The Cue cable is a cable with an RCA plug on one end (the tv end) and a 1/8" plug on the other. The RCA end also has a pass through so another rca cable can be hooked up at the same time.
Of course, the idea is to hook it to your TV and have it send audio ques that take you to a website. Now what they don't usually mention is that all the tv sound comes through the computer's speakers.
While the cat and cable are free, there are a couple of related items that are not:
The "Audio Link" -- this is a wireless sender that does the same thing the cable does and sells for 19.99
The Cue cat holder -- attaches to your monitor or computer and holds the cat. Usually sells for 1.99, but during this promotion it's now.99
The contest with nbc works something like this. you get the cat & cable & install it. You also get a game piece with a barcode on it. Once you install the cat, you swap the barcode and that enters you into the contest. I think the prize is a trip to hollywood to be a guest on an nbc show.
Anyway, don't be surprised if rs employees try to get you to buy stuff when you go to get one. That
s why radioshack is doing this - to get people in the store. Now any employee is suppose to average about $32 per ticket. And every cat counts as a ticket. And a $0 ticket at that. So the employee has to make up for it by trying to sell you more stuff.
IMHO, the idea of using the tv to go to web sites probably sounded good at the time, but they didnt think it through. (It's a cool hack, but not very usefull.)
I can understand why they don't like copying dvd or vhs movies. But broadcast tv? I don't get it. Its not like the quality's that great and then with the commericals too. (Wouldn't the adveristers like it if people were recording shows and showing them to friends -- commericals and all.) I mean if ya can't catch the orginal broadcast, they want you to wait for the rerun?????
Who cares if someone tapes last week's "Friends" and watches it again?
It's caused by the Starship Enterprise traveling forward though time from the late 1900s. After the loop around the sun it moved forward in time, and left a ripple here in our time that is effecting the probes.
Duh.
Since Sega is letting others make Dreamcast compatible systems, it's too bad Indreama couldn't have made a mutiplatform machine. One that plays Indrema/Linux/Dreamcast games.
And I remember rebooting my dos pc countless times and running memmaker to get enough extended/expanded memory to run a game :-)
Castaway is also available for the Sharp Zaurus. Although I've never tried Llamatron on it.

Is that 250,000 in cash or SCO stock?

" it comes from the days when you were allowed to harm people in the pursuit of art."
Is that why I felt so bad after watching Episode I?
Since it will have a "feature" missing, does this mean it will cost less?
Am I the only one who watches TV while playing games?
"The Sony-Ericsson P900 was released today. Here is a detailed P900 Review."
Ummm...if it was just released today, how can you have a detailed review already?
"CBS, under orders from Viacom CEO Mel Karmazin, has threatened to stop all HDTV broadcasts unless the broadcast flag is approved."
Can't the FCC just revoke their license if they do?
Oh no. Those poor people will have to go around sober for a few days.
You know, that explains a lot of the documention I've seen.
Great, now everytime we see a computer on TV we're going to see the blue screen of death.

How do you stay so busy at your age (writing books, creating tv series, movies, etc.)? Do you ever plan on retiring and taking it easy?

You can get a usb cuecat from cuecat.com but they charge you 5 dollars shipping. You can get a ps2 to usb adapter at radioshack but its 10 dollars.

Wow...just think of the roaming charges on that :-)
