    I think they should also criminalizes voyeurism. While the victims don't actually lose anything physically, the offenders do gain something from the action.

    Maybe just call it "series of tubes"? Stevens is pretty layman, so I wouldn't be surprised most people can understand better with description like that.

    We used to call aeroplanes "big metal birds" and people instantly associate it with "big flying things" in a physical sense. Later on, aeroplane becomes a common term and no more layman terms are needed.

    So in the future the term "internet" would be enough for everyone, but right now, "series of tubes" pretty much describes its physical structure.

    Well, as mentioned in the summary, "The problems highlight one of the risks of relying on hosted applications providers, which offer to house software and its data for individuals and organizations."

    While computers do break down, but my broken Firefox browser doesn't affect yours.

    I felt a great disturbance in the GoogleNet, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

    Higher speed will be the cure. Just like standard government, the most effective way to fight traffic congestion is to build more and wider roads.

    Imagine what the internet will be like where all spams only counted for 0.01% of the total bandwidth? "They simply cannot breed spammers fast enough to saturate the lines."

    To give us near free energy?

    Seriously if a company can get hold of an exclusive technology to produce unlimited energy, it will offer to the public at near free cost, and perhaps charge "fees" for installation, support and services.

    Depends if you're talking about red apples or green apples. The latter is usually greener.

    Apple Inc usually produces black or albino apples, not good.
