Meh, I disagree. RehXephon had a really good beginning and middle, but the "mechs" weren't as cool and the ending felt as vague as NGE without being as epic. Really, I think it got the worst of NGE but like it because of its similarity to Haibane Renmei, Lain, Paranoia Agent, and that style.
It is important to remember the purpose behind the electoral college in the first place, to check the and balance out the ability of people to influence the ignorant, uneducated masses. We are a republic, not a pure democracy (and most major Eurpean democracies are even less democratic than us) and our government was designed specifically to allow freedom and rights while at the same time provide a capable government (which I will be the first one to argue that it has overstepped its bounds). According to at least one critical analysis, it has been apparently one of the least corrupted and influenced organizations in our entire government's history.
Whether or not they made the right choice last time is currently impossible to objectively tell because of the staggering amount of biased, incomplete, inaccurate and partisan information and misinformation that is going around. I am a moderate, and I don't support Bush, but I do believe that he has done alot of good things he isn't getting credit for and doing alot of bad things (or allowing them to happen) that are being ignored. History will judge, for better or worse.
The US is probably around 10th or 15th. But that's expected, the US is alot larger and has a much more diverse population and immigration makeup, along with TWAT (the war...).
Here's a thought: let them drill in the US (there are good places besides Alaska) and build some refineries. There haven't been any in decades. Supply and demand, my friend. This excess profit is all going into expansion, since they can't do it anywhere easy or cheap.
They're not for taking out the government. They're supposed to be for stopping the government (or anyone else) from taking you out, usually in terms of defending your property. I think the Swiss got it right when it somes to guns.
Well there's still monkey spanking that needs to be done. Let's be honest, you don't push butons that hard anyway, we all know where that strenght comes from.
Insurgent - guerilla fighter. Maybe not regular army, but attacks primarily military or militant targets. The US Special Forces engage in this "asymmetrical warfare" sometimes.
Terrorist - attacks primarily civilian targets, avoids military targets, not in any kind of regular army. Noteable for use of kidnapping, media manipulation, and handmade explosives used in surprise manners such as car bombs.
If all they did was car bomb checkpoints, they'd be guerillas, and valid combatants, likely gaining the rights of soldiers under the Geneva convention. Targeting buses full of children does NOT make you a soldier, merely a criminal, no matter you intents, and leaves you with only basic human rights.
What are you talked about? Were the cultural elitings of the intarwebs!
Engrish in the spirit of Freedom!
Writing of the damaged Engrish is inducement of Great Firewall failure! China is go for many information of the "freedom" by using spelling of the internet Engrish! 31i73 breaking of the language, for great justice!!
At first I didn't like the idea of not being able to turn features like these off. After all, it's my machine, and I hate it when computer software won't let me get out of noob mode.
But then I realized that getting into advanced configuration mode in computer software and fucking up only screws up that computer, which can be fixed and is just some property damage, whereas a car failure (which, let's be honest, is the driver's fault in 95+% when it comes to computerized aids) will likely kill people.
I for one will sacrifice my real-life driving fun for your statistical safety, and stick to go-cart and videogames for fishtailing.
I'm guessing that these phones will selectively emit higher doses of radiation depending on your conversation. Poisonous thoughts will poison the mind! Can you say thoughtcrime? Instant police, judge/jury, and excecutioner all in one.
This reminds me of the Bastard Operator from Hell's assistant's voltmoddded Eastern European cattleprod that lacks some of the safety of Western devcices. Which of course is why it is so favored a tool by the PFY.
Fuck that, I got your Mid East peace aid package right here!

I think a black hat would be an arsonist (ill-intent), a grey hat would be a pyromaniac (depends on how sane/careful they are), white hat would be a pyrotechnician (Rammstein concerts kick ass).
Actually, that's exactly what it will be in the long run. Everyone whines about new games and movies being all flash and no substance, and that they have to buy a new videocard every two years. Do you know why? We will have the Metaverse probably sooner than a manned mission to Mars. And once the technology is near perfect - that's when the focus will return to content.

Why just Americans? I have little faith in people at all.

apparently the "Red state" population outnumbers the "Blue state" population.
Ah, remember that Kerry won the poular vote and lost the electoral.
Metaverse, here we come! http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/games/wowworld .html
I think I'll skip this Entropia thing, btw. It DOES sound like a casino.
Number 1 is Somalia.

Sorry, sometimes we Americans forget about the rest of the world, could we have a "Not about USA" tag please for all three of those articles?
Seriously, the fact that something cool was happening in a court should have tipped us off. My ass anything like this would ever happen in the US.
But of course that won't increase productivity either. Unless you count productivity as- nevermind.
Apparently you've been watching the news too much to know that it was lying under oath that got Clinton impeached, not a little fun.

and hope that by the time it dies there will be a killer handheld out to replace it.
Have it scan the blogoshere.
God I hate that word.
Here's the difference:

What are you, Canadian? Let me rephrase that correctly: are you a Canadian, eh?

Oh, I see, breaking the security of the systems. Right. Didn't see that the first time. Sorry.

The United States is a nation of laws: badly written and randomly enforced.
- Frank Zappa (1940 - 1993)
I guess only a tyrannical dictatorship would have well-written and well enforced laws.

That's a better analogy.

Nothing could be worse than human drivers, especially the young and the elderly.
