The trouble with technology 'helping' the dumb checkout people through better technology is that it insures they will always be dumb. There was a time when cashiers could actually make change, but thanks to modern cash registers, there is no chance of that anymore. Heaven forbid you give the moron an extra penny so you get back an dime instead of a nickel and four pennies, they will have to void the sale and start over to 'figure it out'.
...with very high accuracy and reliability (Windows only)
In a related story, Camspace also offers speakers with unmatched audio fidelity and dynamic range (only for use in a vacuum)

(only for use with vast majority of PC's on market today to recoup development costs. Remaining 5%-10% of the OS market share to be developed for at later date.)
I don't understand why it surprises everyone developers shoot for largest market first.
I really want to know if professional programmers out there think what shows up on the web is an accurate sample set of what is going overall in the programming community. When I ran a Video Production shop, I was always explaining that what you saw on TV was only a very small portion of the market share of Video Production. There's a lot of things that just aren't for public consumption.
Price isn't the only factor here. Has anyone seen any real reliability or Environmental numbers on any of these drives yet? I know many government/military programs who would be glad to pay for it, if it could prove to increase availability in certain environments.
I returned from Nigeria with a sample of the XO laptop
I did RTFA, and no mention of HOW he got the laptop...
I know everyone was talking about these things ending up all over the world in the black market, don't tell me it's ALREADY there.
I seem to recall years ago a story about Disney using similar sounding technology to create more life like animatronics for rides like "It's a small world". Anyone have any reference to descriptions of that origional technology for a comparison? I can't find it now.
Quite frankly I find the whole idea these people are out there wasting tax dollars obscene. Shall we all get together and file a complaint against THEM?
So if you were on an Airplane that was going down, you wouldn't want to know? We may not be able to do anything about a comet that may collide with Earth and kill us all, but I'd rather be at home than sitting at work finishing my T.P.S. reports when it hits.
after they reach over 0.99$ who is going to ever buy that song from them again I guess people willing to pay for the DRM free part... Or people who just hate Apple...
unless by doing so you would incriminate yourself or a Spouse - or certain circumstances where you have privileged information (Attorney Client, Doctor Patient, Confessional)
Don't forget, Al-Queda isn't just the guys hiding in caves with AK's, there are members in appartments and offices all over the world who are happy to contribut to the cause by editing a few videos, posting streaming media on the web, providing intel, etc.
Damn near everybody in my generation doesn't file trading wrong. LOL! UR2 Dum.
You just demonstrated one of the basic reasons your generation isn't getting taken seriously. You can't write a sentence.
Now to answer what I think your point was - Most people under 22 haven't worked to create content and then seen it get used by others without compensation. And no, YouTube uploads of you singing into a hair dryer don't count as actual content. Like it or not, hollywood movies, rock stars, and quality books will all be distant memories if copyright dies.
Remember this post in 10 years when you change your mind.

If this makes it past vaporware, I'll dance a jig.
This is probably said at the origins of almost all DARPA projects. That's their point.Your edit should read...

Polotics and money, what a great parallel. We should just combine the two. "Would you like an extra $5 to vote for candidate X?"

I can't say I've ever needed to open a series of tabs, without the pause of typing in an address, or clicking on a shortcut. What am I doing wrong?
So we're moveing from Sci-Tech to Comi-tech?

I don't recall OLPC allowing any of these things in the US, it was starting strictly in 3rd world countries wasn't it?
"Further study" probably means "Legal liability disucssion"

How exactly is automatically removing copyrighted content that shouldn't be posted in the first place evil?
I believe you missed my point.
"Do no Evil" - company motto, remove all copyrighted content
vs.
Survival - being the engine people use to find things
I was trying to point out that they may bo oposing forces in this case. the more they remove, the less people will use google to search.
Soo... the system works, and "do no evil" gets a point.
For the unoffocial record - are you the copyright holder of these clips, or could they legitimate requests?
