While I dont work for Scala themselves, I do work for a reseller company.

They are far and wide the easiest solution out there, Editing is done from an interface called the designer, where branches can be created, events can be acted upon. You upload this data to a content manager which pushes all the data out to your digital signs. You can update all of the signs remotely given that they have network access to the content manager.
I guess I don't understand the problem with light prejudice. Cultures are different. There is a distinct black culture, and also a distinct white culture. This can be extended to mexicans, asians, indians, arabs, africans. I don't think it serves anyone to pretend that race makes no difference, because honestly it does. Not saying we have to treat each other differently based upon races, but if you pretend there is no cultural differences its like plugging up your ears and going lalalala. Anyway yes some people will break from the mold but at the same time, the race/culture that you belong to shape you and define you in some ways, maybe not completely, but they definitely are a part of who you are.
Anyway the point I try to make is that recognizing cultural differences is not bad. Hate because of racial differences is.
I believe you are confused, evolution doesn't even attempt to answer the question of genesis. It only attempts to answer how we got from single cell life form to what we are today. How that single celled life form was "created" is not answered by evolution. The origin of life is a different question than the question of how organisms develop and evolve over time.
Or in the case of some of the older CRT monitors, the display couldn't sync higher than say 36khz (horizontal sync). I actually have an older CRT projector that wont sync higher than 36khz horizontal. If I were to feed it anything higher than 960x540p@60hz I would actually blow several transistors in the machine. So it is possible to damage hardware with software for sure. Although I am pretty sure any monitors that could be damaged would be well out of warranty by now.
I don't think you understand the attack vector, javascript executes on a client machine (eg inside the NAT), so restricting access to the outside world would do you no good. In fact I believe that most routers block outside access by default, and you have to enable it if it is even available.
I have an LG LX350 that has an external OLED display, not red and black though.. Black exterior with a silver interior (clamshell)..
Only thing that bothers me about it is the refresh rate is rather low, but I don't know if thats the phone or the display.. If I move the display I can see a distinct flashing of it. Overall though a neat tiny little display..
I know that if you dont have some cookie on your computer (I am going to guess there is some type of cipher stored here, although I could be wrong), it will ask you for an answer to one of 3 questions that you picked. So some random computer would not get the picture, they would get asked one of the 3 questions..
Of course, if they could get the cookie from your computer, that would be possible.. but unless they use some browser exploit.. that should not be possible.
the memory stick was probably unnecessary, I will give you that one as there were other less proprietary formats out there that could have fit the bill (sd or CF)..
But mini-disc.. I actually own a net-md player, and I love the thing.. Yah I am nowhere as cool as the guys with the hard drive based players.. but were there any alternatives at the time?? it was smaller than a cd.. and basically scratch proof... so what was wrong about introducing the mini-disc??
the two prior posts have horribly flawed logic.. you can't just sue someone because they deprive you of revenue.. If that was the case comcast would sue sbc because sbc deprives comcast of revenue from potential customers.... there has to be a violation of some agreement here for there to be any legal standing in my opinion, but IANAL
you shouldn't be because like you said watts = volts * amps.. unless your amps are also higher, but I would suspect that the power supply uses less amperage at a higher voltage..
basically, just measuring voltage tells you nothing.. you need both parts of the equation or you just have a useless figure.. measure voltage and amperage and if voltage goes up while amperage stays the same then they might be ripping you off
hell we all break the law daily most likely.. there is probably some mundane code buried in some law somewhere that forbids me from making a post on a disccussion board on the last friday of a month..
The law anymore has become such a complex mess.. I personally say if you cant reduce a law to a one page document.. it gets thrown out.. anything more than a page is just retarded...
Do not kill..
Do not steal..
Don't mess with your neighbors wife or cattle..
there's 7 more but basically.. Dont fuck with other people..
on top of that.. I have this button called angle on my dvd remote.. I believe it was supposed to allow you to watch a scene from different angles, every dvd player I have seen has it on it..
But amazingly.. i have never seen it used.. so its great that hd-dvd can do it.. but the question is.. will it get used?
humans have the ability to communicate?? everytime I hear someone talking it is barely distinguishable as speech, and emails are 99% of the time completely nonsensical.. so I think I will stay with the computers, at least they do what I want.
I agree, its one thing to steal a copy of windows(or whatever frequently pirated program you desire) for your own use(and half of your neighborhood as well), but a completely different thing to sell it to other people.
I understand that legally I may be required to do some things, although I believe that is what is in question.. so at this point it may be a good guideline, but no guideline has been set.. for physical locations I can understand it to some point... but I guess my questions is why do people believe that we should cater to small minoritys of the population?? It might be a nice thing to do, and will probably earn you some karma, but why is it something that is legally required? I dont like to blindly believe in the law, I will follow it, but I will also question it... unlike some here.
I completely agree, this is scary. At what point does it stop? In what way am I obligated to cater to every possible group that may come to my website. I understand it is a simple thing to do, and I try to remain accessible in things that I do, but I guess I dont see why you dont let capitalism sort something like this. Just seems silly that its the website designer responsible for making things accessible, maybe it should be the screenreaders job to translate properly, instead of the websites job to completely outline something for someone that makes up maybe 0.1% of the browser market... Seems almost as silly as people who still design for IE 4 and netscape 4.7 .
I am guessing since the only realistic hdmi source at this point is a satellite/cable provider(hddvd is not realistic yet, not enough content), that was what he was speaking of.. although it confused me for a second as well.
I honestly doubt it is as high as you say it is.. I worked for corporate about 5 years ago, manning the 1800-the-shack tech line.... it was about a 22 man team that did the whole thing.. and all of us at least had basic knowledge of every product there.. we actually had a "playroom" with pretty much everything radio shack had sold in the last 5 years, honestly they didn't pay all that well.. but for a 19 year old it did good.. anyway they laid off the entire department (probably got outsourced).. and that probably got rid of half of the knowledgeable people at the company.
dont know what network you have been using, maybe its your switch even.. but i get pretty close to the theoretical maximum on a 100mbit lan.. about 11 MB(thats byte not bit)/Second, which is well beyond what is needed to stream video.. my DVR records at about 2.5mb/sec and I could probably push that out to each one of my computers.. 3 hard wired and both laptops and still have bandwidth to download from the internet at full speed.. never tried it, I may have to try it though.

Dimmable CFL's http://www.thegreenguide.com/blog/freshfinds/340 http://www.prolighting.com/ph20wdicfl28.html and as far as I know they have been around a few years

Not necessarily, as I believe a road can handle more cars per hour the faster they are traveling. So that might negate your advantage..

that would be dividing zero.. not dividing by zero
yah.. I always hooked the wires from the com port straight to my skin and interpreted the binary shocks..
