If they were going to do this, why use some crappy half-ass POS key word matching shit? Go for real. Get a Watson. Pretty sure it could answer the mountain bike question.
I really thought Ozzie was the perfect choice after MS bought Groove. He seemed to have a good grasp on what direction MS should take. Pity he didn't get the job a few years ago.
Could be that's what they really want. Escalation, more power, more budget, more relevance at least in their own eyes. Why else would they target reporters and their partners?
Sucks to get laid off and I feel real bad for those that might but...
Hire 95% more or lay off 95%. Doesn't matter really. Either way, our individual rights will benefit. The turmoil will only distract from their efforts to subvert our inalienable rights.
Actually, probably better if they were to hire 95% more managers. That'd make them incapable of doing anything aside from having meetings.
I bought a Lenovo laptop and it came with Win 8 installed. I tried, I really did. I tried to learn to like Win 8. After a few weeks, it just wasn't happening and I found a copy of Win 7 and installed that. All is well now. I wish my laptop had come with Win 7 installed as yours did.
My favorite part of the original is how they portrayed the urban landscape. Dark and rainy, yet dirty. Like the rain itself could not wash away the effects of the lack of morality of the over populated city. If the sequel fucks this part up, I will be sorely disappointed.
Who am I kidding? I should just start being disappointed now and get it over with.
That has got to be the stupidest solution to the problem that anyone could imagine. Was this the result of some drunken contest?
As a survivor of childhood cancer, my wife has been in many, many hospitals. Most are very good with basic hand washing. Most have sanitizer dispensers near the door to the room, inside the room and in the hall. But one hospital in particular stands out in my memory as having employees that seldom washed their hands. It appeared to be a hospital-wide problem as they did not have sanitizer dispensers readily available. The employees seemed surprised and "hurt" when asked to wash their hands before touching the patient.
I'm pretty sure all it really takes is a directive from the higher-ups and a little bit of education. But hey, those kids in Bangalore have to do something I guess.
Hold on friend. A 15 yo may look like an adult but they do not think as adults yet. Adolescents do not possess the ability to accurately evaluate the future consequences of their actions. They slowly develop this ability over time. I'm still developing that ability myself, or at least I hope I am.
This speaks directly to the situation at hand as apparently Paypal wants the "winners" to enter into some type of enforceable contractual agreement. Never mind that knowing Paypal, that contractual agreement probably only protects them and fucks the "winners". As a minor, any contractual agreement he would enter into is unenforceable. The laws are written that way not to prevent you from dating teenage girls but to protect the adolescent from entering onto a contractual agreement that has detrimental repercussions that the adolescent did not see because of their not yet fully developed ability to evaluate the consequences of their actions.
A few years ago my dear departed Dad who was a NRA Lifer and very active in firearm education, gave a rather lengthy speech to a newsman with a camera who was to report on some firearm classes being conducted. My Dad talked about how the NRA used to be at the forefront of firearm education. They sponsored training classes and encouraged young adults to learn how use a firearm properly. Then sometime in the 60's the NRA got all whacked out and obsessed with their legislative agenda. They now devote all their efforts to that end and none (or very little) to education these days. Dad goes on about how the NRA needs to get back to it's roots of education and be more proactive in promoting safety and worry less about who gets political contributions.
I don't know if what he said was true, I'm not old enough to remember a time the NRA was anything but a lobbying group.
When he got done talking the reporter said "We'll need your name and address so we can air this footage on tonight's news. What's your name sir?"
"Chuck Heston" was the reply. The reporter moved on.
I thought Duffy was the one who was telling the judge "Hey, I don't know anything about what these other guys have been up to. I'm clean Your Honor, really."
Then he signs something like this? This guy is dumber than a bag of hammers. If any of these guys had any brains, they'd be on their way to some place that has banana trees in the yard and no extradition treaty with the U.S.
Once again, proof as to why Florida is the only state that has it's own Fark tag or needs it.
My kid was showing me last night how to squeeze an empty water bottle hard enough to make the cap pop off. It made a good pop and sent the cap across the kitchen. If he does that at his school will he be arrested and charged with detonating an explosive device? Stupid, stupid, stupid.
The U.S. Gov't believes that the only way to enlist the help of skilled computer people is to charge them with a gazillion crimes then arrive at a plea deal that involves the hackers "future cooperation". That' why we are seeing so many of these cases where the DOJ threatens years and years of prison for relatively minor infractions.
Sadly, the Gov't may be right - this may be their only way of enlisting the talent they desire. I mean, would you volunteer to do the things they might be asking the hackers to do? Of course not! You've got morals and ethics.
I may die of an overdose of John McAfee stories.
No worries there Mate. That ain't happening.
How does this square with the ACM's Code of Ethics, Section 1.2 - "Avoid Harm to Others"?

NSA does huge favor for 90% of it's SysAdmins.
Did this guy just say that they "are standing on a burning platform"?
So you got a dozen free Gogo passes and turned in the cost on your expense account anyway. Well played Sir, well played.
Seriously, the Gogo passes would really help. Thanks for sharing that one.

Disclimer: I am currently a parent of a 15 yo.
Now what am I going to do with all these black T-Shirts?

And that's how the coconuts got to Mercea.
Did you recently piss-off a female? Break up with your girl? Pack up your toothbrush? Suggest you be just friends?
Thought so.
Oh, you can do that.
For $35.00 U.S.
Big Grats on this Ray! I know you've been preaching this for a long time. Good to see it finally getting some traction with the Courts.
Am I also to believe that progress is being made with the improper joinder issue as well?

Totally agree that Weev is not the classiest example in the world.
Totally agree that to liken his actions to those of Swartz is defaming to Swartz.
Still, would like to see how typing a URL is illegal.
