Perhaps a stupid question, but fresh water is getting harder to come by. Anyone living in the Western U.S. knows what a problem this is becoming. I realize that the Earth is 70% water, but that's mostly sea water. It seems to me that such a vehicle is going to need distilled water to avoid a significant buildup of minerals. That means a lot of desalination plants, and a lot of energy going into making fresh water.
Part of the challenge of devising effective VoIP security protections requires, to begin with, first identifying these threats in the first place, for starters, at the outset, initially.
I dunno. Have you seen the future generation? They're usually running around screaming at the restaurant, or disturbing me while I try to watch a movie.
So the observable universe for your hypothetical Enterprise would be different from ours, as it would be able to see light which had not reached Earth.
Which brings up a matter which I've often wondered about. If we observe a star at position X. What we are really observing is that star at that position Y number of years ago. In reality that star's actual position now is somewhere else, correct?
So when we read or watch Sci Fi, and people are flitting about the galaxy, or whatever, it seems navigation much be a real bitch. Maybe impossible.

Is it even possible for a human to perceive the difference between, say, 3ms and 6ms?

We can put a Hayabusa on an Itokawa, but we still can't cure the common cold.
Don't come with the theory that that is only a matter of time, North Korea does not have access to the resources to come anywhere near.
Hmmm. They used to say the same thing about China in the 50's.
