Does this imply that if you had not used this unthrottled service, then they would act as a barrier and protect you from civil proceedings? Somehow, I doubt it...
USB support is certainly important -- and it's included;) USB devices plugged into the Mac will be seen by Windows running in Parallels. I used this with one of those Microsoft GPS receivers and it worked flawlessly.
It's not the hard drive or the color screen that make it innovative, or even a success. It's the "cool" factor. It's the easy-to-use interface. And it's the iTunes Music Store integration. People buy stuff because it looks cool.
You probably didn't buy that Porsche for its practical feature set, right? Same with an iPod, except the iPod DOES have a practical feature set AND it looks cool. In addition to that, they devised a way to make it easy to find one particular song when you have 10,000 on there. And to top it all off, they made it easy to buy new music from iTMS (this part, I don't particularly care for -- I've never bought a song there. But lots of people seem to Think Differently)
I'd love to see AllOfMP3 raise their prices a little bit, and start sending money to the artists. I mean literally, to the artists. Look up addresses and cut checks. This serves two purposes:
1. The artists get compensated for their work, and the morality of the situation is improved a bit. 2. The artists themselves might begin to see what kind of a crooked deal they've got with the RIAA and maybe it would make them think twice about signing more contracts.
And if the artists revolt, what's the RIAA got left to sell?
Granted, this is nothing new around here;)...
But over on the Apple support forums, there are many people getting week 12 MBPs (starting about a week ago) that still have the wifi issues, and most notably the whine issue. It seems that the whine is the most common complaint. Some people are super unlucky and seem to replace their whining week 12 MBP with another one that still whines...so either it's just really crappy luck or the whining ones are actually pretty common.
But then again, they didn't say they fixed the whine:/
From my experience with the "we'll only let you play the first half of the movie" trial version, it took at least twice as long to start QuickTime + Flip4Mac than it did to start Windows Media Player. Granted, WMP does suck, but the slowness seems even worse in the QuickTime + Flip4Mac solution...
On an unrelated note, I really hope Microsoft isn't offering only the trial version of Flip4Mac.
Does this mean the next version of Battlefield will only make us sit through ONE unskippable logo at the beginning?
This guy is suggesting there's a coverup about a 50m insect and it got modded Insightful?

Check out Metronome Online. It's free, functional, and easy to use, if you don't mind being near your computer while you practice.
No, that means you can reserve two ;)

Joe? Is that you? I swear, if it is, you're totally fired tomorrow.

Did I mention I don't own a plane yet?

It is wrong to deprive women of freedom of choice over their own bodies...
The same argument could be made for the legalization of drugs...
So that's like, only $200,000,000. Poor bastards, they must be starving ;-)
1. Hook car battery up to teeth.
2. Hit the ON button.
3. ????
4. PROFIT!!!
...it would be a shame if a lawsuit were to be brought against you...
Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't...nothing?
Here's a link to a PDF describing Intel's virtualization technology and how to make it go. Everyone get to work.
An article about a site with a banner ad on it?
;-)
If this isn't a Slashvertisement, I don't know what is
"some Windows fans took matters into their own hands"
I think they misspelled captives

Why not just name it the AwesomeBook and be done with it? Obviously it is a more awesome name.
