They're a band that has fans spanning a few generations, and this span keeps getting larger. I'm only 21 and, naturally, missed Beatlemania, but in time I discovered them, and came to deeply love a few of their albums. I'm sure that this independent discovery is common with music fans since the Beatles broke up. Maybe appreciation for them will become a little more rare once they all die off. (Note that I am not trying to curse the last remaining two - live long, Paul and Ringo!)
Clearly you've never seen the game played at a high level. Seriously, how conceited and arrogant do you have to be to assume that a game that has risen to such heights is simple and formulaic? It's a great game, one that has undergone many strategic revolutions. The gameplay has changed many, many times. Strategy, tactics, and micro-management of units are all dynamic properties of the game.

in North America and Europe is nowhere near the level of South Korea and China. The CPL gave away nice prices, but it's been short lived.
If we got American television channels to follow the path Korean ones like OnGameNet or MBC Game, then that would be something. Americans suck at RTS games, though;)
"Not to say that VII didnt have a good story, but once Aries dies, its well kind of a letdown. Here they are building and building and building and then bame, shes dead and the story just takes a nosedive into emoville."
I wasn't aware that the greek god of war made an appearance in the game. The story, in my opinion, was far more detailed than any other FF. Six was a great game in it's own right, but claims that it had a better plot or character development than 7 should be met with raucous laughter.
My city (Fredericton, N.B., Canada) has had a similar service in place for a couple of years now. The network does not yet cover the entire city, but I believe that they're gradually working up to full coverage.
One thing I find annoying is that while officials are bragging about how 'forward thinking' and 'progressive' Fredericton is, there are wide gaps in the residential areas of downtown, while almost entirely useless spots like the river are entirely covered.
I think it's because enough CS, IT types, journalists, and computer enthusists in general created an uproar about it that Sony got burned. You may be correct in that times are changing and people are growing ever more computer literate; but it's the young people who are. Almost none of the people whom I service at my workplace give two shits about anything that's on their computer or what's being done to it, as long as it just works.
TFA says that 1/3 of adult gamers spend more than 10 hours a week online, as opposed to 10% of teens. but the telling statistic in regards to who's more hardcore, imo, is this:
" 5x more teens are playing mmogs than adults especially women"
if you think a few journalists on CNN make the entire network 'republican slanted', i'm inclined to say that you must not watch it often. ever seen jack cafferty?
starcraft is a much faster paced game than warcraft 3, never mind the fact that it's a better game in general. playing starcraft: brood war i'm around 160apm. multitasking skill is at the core of this game
Other cyber athletes have shown that they have the eye-hand coordination needed to be competitive in real sports. Lim Yo Hwan, a starcraft: brood wars gamer, once was involved in a publicity event with one of South Korea's premier pro basbeball players where they compared relative eye-hand coordination, and as I recall, Lim had better coordination than the ball player.
This will probably suck just as much as the new family guy. Maybe it'll be a weak copy of Conan O'Brian, except stewie will be less animated due to restraints from his high chair.
for those of you living in such areas that you feel your school or your workplace place any value in the color of someone's skin. there are many black, asian, and eastern european students in my computer science classes, and when language permits, we all get along.
"Current Analysis' market share numbers measure U.S. retail sales only, and therefore exclude figures from Dell, which uses its Web site to sell directly to consumers. Dell, the top PC vendor in the U.S., exclusively uses Intel's processors in its PCs. (Sales by online retailers were excluded from the market share analysis as well)."
That was mentioned in the article

Gates: "Balmer, my wallet's in my right front pocket. Oh, and I'll take that statue of Justice, too."
Judge: "Sold!"
"hey, I still, the way I do my work is I sit these days downstairs in my basement alone"
He may be rich and famous, but Linus keeps it real
They want people to hear "Nintendo" and think, "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"

it's not city-wide, yet, but i believe that is their goal.
Link to the Past is still among my all time favourite games. The music kicked so much ass
indeed, i was playing commander keen in grade 3
