It does matter. They would've never been able to build up the monopoly that they had without the government's help. Plus, the bundling of services that they provided was not illegal at the time.
It takes much more than the White House to legalize something like that (think about who illegalized it in the first place, hint - it wasn't the president).
Revenues don't tend to just "dry up" like that for a company that big. Even if they started losing money, they would not necessarily lose all revenue. Plus, they could most likely reduce a lot of expenses if necessary.
"The fact that when a single life is needlessly cut short, the whole society is affected in some way."
While I do not agree that this is necessarily true. The fact is, society is not an entity, but a collection of entities. And, sometimes when the worse of these entities is eliminated many of the remainder are affected positively.
If you ever read the constitution you would see that the form of government IT sets up is also a confederation, rather than a federal government. It wasn't untill much later that the government started turning into a federal one.
Why does the government need to do that? I don't know about Japan, but in the USA and Europe the Private market has already taken care of this (CE and UL).
"We're sorry. Google.com is not compatible with AT&T Internet service."
That makes it sound like Google is to blame for not being compatable with ATT. Put something more like:
"AT&T internet service does not support Google and its pages."
word.
Boo at you. Why would you need to post AC?
Maybe not for you...
What a fucktard. And you got +5 insightful. Skype is a Scandinavian company, but I guess that won't stop people like you from their american bashing.
Most of the modern chinese economy is now based on stolen technology.
That's funny, according to the official Playstation website (http://www.us.playstation.com/PS2/Accessories/SCP H-10010U) they are analog.

You forget that the railroad monopolies were established by governements in the first place (in the form of land grants to specific companies).
The PS2 controller had analog triggers.
Do you really think that the current administration is the only reason that marijuana is illegal?

"I'm a liberal person by nature and thus have very liberal beliefs in human rights. I believe all humans have a right ... to live healthily"
Tell this to the kid who will never see puberty because he's dieing of Leukemia.
It's not that I don't feel empathy or compassion, it's that I resent the government forcing me to feel either.

What exactly makes health care a right to you or anyone else?
From that quote, it doesn't even call it a "disease" it says: "vitamin deficiency."
My (and many people's) first DVD player was a PS2. My first HD VD player will probably be a PS3.
Is there a reason you inserted an extraneous comma into your last sentence?
If they make 10s of millions of dollars at $0.01 each, that implies that billions of copies of Windows will be sold, which is very, very unlikely.

You can get close and play DJ Dangermouse's Grey Album (http://www.illegal-art.org/audio/grey.html)
"While the U.S. is an extremely tight federation-- the word 'Union' is very accurate-- it is still a federation. Each state is indeed its own nation."
This is sad as it was originally founded as a confederation.
