I'm not sure that Red Steel is the best example for what an FPS can do on the Wii. From the most recent reviews I've read the bounding box that the cursor is in is way too big. The only way to turn your character is to move the cursor to the edges of this box. As long as both this and the sensitivity are adjustable I think that there are great possibilites for this game. For my money, I'll wait till I can play a demo to say if it'll work or not.
The fact is, I am not a Sony fanboy. I do not want a PS3. If anything I am a Nintendo fanboy and will probably be waiting in line to get a Wii for myself, however, I did not order the PS3 for myself, I don't even have an HD TV. I ordered it to resell, and I know that I will make a very healthy profit on it. That very much makes it worth waiting for. Whatever you say about Sony fanboys needs to be directed towards the Chump that's going to give me several hundred dollars over MSRP for it.
The entire continent is getting 400k units. GameStop/EB is not going to get them all. Best Buy, Circuit City, WalMart, and more will be selling them without preorders.
It's not really a scam to me. The way I see it, I am forfeiting the interest from that $100 in exchange for a) waiting outside in the chilly October cold rather than the frigid November cold and b) not having to wait for more than 24 hours outside.
Meanwhile I'll be playing Red Steel and Zelda: TP on my Wii this Fall, paid for with the PS3 I'm going to sell on EBay, while you wait for that to come out sometime next year.
Shawnee Mission Pkwy. Huh? You could always go to the WalMart across the street, they're open 24/7 so you won't have to wait till morning to get yours.
That is simply not true. There are many ways to move air without fans. Try wikipedia on this one, 'cause I don't feel like explaining how this works to a moron.
"as if people are the obvious pinnacle of the process."
How are they not the pinnacle? They are the most advanced creatures ever to walk/swim/crawl the earth.
Steam sucks. I cannot play even a single player game without being connected to the interweb. Of course Steam gives me the option to go into "Offline Mode." But, that just means "Exit Program, try again when you got a connection."
Actually, the fact that the PS2 had a DVD player was one of the main reasons I bought it. It didn't have any games that I HAD to have at release, in fact I got a really crappy game after waiting in line all night to get it (actually next day cause WallyWorld wouldn't sell me the game). If I had an HD TV I would seriously think about getting a PS3, even if there weren't many (good) games at release.
You bought a 360 a year ago primarily for a game that was announced within the past week?
Condemned: Criminal Origins???????????? The original was a huge, steaming pile of SHIT
Do you have a source for your claim that the Orange Box includes HL2 and Ep1? Everything I've seen simply states HL2: Ep2, Portal, and TF2.

Thanks. I'm so looking forward to milking one of those guys dry :)

Except influenze is caused by a VIRUS, NOT a bacteria. How is this anti-bacterial mouse going to protect against the Flu?

That's why they wrote the article/interview.
Which means that the GC version is NOT mirrored.

Doom3? Steam?
Macs have been able to dual boot Linux for YEARS.
Are you referring to the Battlezone?

"With modern technology..."
Gee, I didn't even realize invisibility was possible with today's technology.

champagne is wine.
More storage = bigger/better textures and more detailed worlds/characters which lead to better graphics.

Not all the processors have dropped on MWave. I looked up the x2 4800+ and it's still showing as more than $600.
My dad used to have one. I loved it. Wonder whatever happened to it...
But, neither Battlefield2 or CS:S are MMOGs.
