Often because the ports of good games come out months or years after console version, when most people gave up and bought the console version already. Also many ports are very lazy, GTA4 for example. The game runs like garbage on even the highest end hardware because the port was not optimized for PC very well. Given a choice between a game on a console and the same one on a pc, I take the pc version 90% of the time.
When I read the headline, I thought they literally meant a breathalyzer, to keep drunk people off PCs. I could probably use one, it would cut down on the drunk IMs and facebook posts.
Because I like having more than a pittance of songs available, and I don't feel like paying tons of money to get a new fancy phone that will even play music. As for the topic at hand, I have a Zune 80, and I think it's THE best music player I have ever owned. I have a ton of music, and now that Creative dropped the ball on their hard drive players, the only choices for >30 GB are miscrosoft and Apple. The zune was cheaper, has more features, and the interface blows any ipod I've ever used out of the water. While I don't especially agree with the software being locked to windows, I think its very user friendly. Now, if you could show me a phone with more than 30 gigs of storage for music, that is as easy to use as my zune, and costs what my zune and current phone did ($200+0), then I might consider using a phone instead of a dedicated mp3 player.
If you would read my post, you would notice that I did not mention the iphone at all. The parent was talking about the touch, at least that's how I understood it.
people nowadays would even buy or listen to music created by Hitler or bin Laden if it were good. Judging by the crap people listen to these days, they'd probably still buy it if it were bad.
I sure am glad to see the wonderful studies my tuition pays for. This kind of fascinating research will surely help the U reach it's goal of being in the top 3 research universities!
Actually, it's most likely an enzyme, which is a biplogical catalyst. If thats the case, then it is not consumed in the reaction, and can be used over and over again, without needing to create more.
Except there is no way to actually turn it off. You can sit on Facebook all day and click those Xs all day, but if you're like me and actually do things during the day, it's extremely impractical.
What is the point of having ratings if they aren't enforced? If the game says M, only those only over 17 should be able to buy it. If you are under that age, there should be a penalty of some sort.
It probably got caught in the shuttle main engine exhaust, in which case it is ice, due to the shuttle engines being powered by pure oxygen and hydrogen. You can even see the little hexagonal ice crystals.
Just because on paper the specs are only slightly above the Xbox, doesn't mean they are actually comparable in practicality. For example, I have an AMD 3500+ in my computer, which has a clock speed of only 2.3 GHz. Yet despite having a vastly lower clock speed, it delivers the same performance of an Intel processor with a 50% higher clock speed. Numbers are not all that matters.
I march Pioneer, we're the only Div 1 corps still playing G bugles. It's kind of sad, since they have a much richer sound than those damn B flats. Much heavier though, playing a G euph sucks a lot.
As a member of a drum and bugle corps that still uses G bugles, I would like to point out that it isn't the same as playing your normal B flat horn. The partials are not the same, and it takes some time to adjust to the difference. Even so, any brass player with a few years of experience can play taps with good tone. I actually knew a guy who would play taps for funerals in high school, it was a pretty sweet gig, well paying and short (1/2 hour).
Actually, I take this back. By not paying for software, people have more money that can be invested, and THAT will boost the economy more than consumption. Of course, it only helps if people invest, if they just sit on the money it harms the economy.
I don't see how using open source would help the economy. In order to boost an economy, people need to buy things, and last time I checked, free open source software was *free*. Free means it doesn't cost money, and if it doesn't cost money, no one is buying it. If enough people switch to free software, the economy will be hurt rather than helped.

The ipod touch doesn't have physical volume buttons. For that matter, no ipods but the shuffle do.
The Purple Onion isn't gone, it just moved down University Ave.

Too bad it needs the sun, which there was a definite lack of in the Matrix.

Series of tubes anyone?

Won't these clog up the tubes? I need my internets delivered promptly.
Snakes on a plane?

Forget Blue Shift, I want Opposing Force 2.
"If you want security, use Windows 95... A crashed computer is incredibly secure - far more secure than Vista."
If you want a really secure OS, I recommend Windows ME.

When an uncyclopedia entry is made about something, you know its a bad sign.

It doesn't matter how we spend the money, only that it gets spent on something, and as long as that something came from inside the country.
