Sounds like a bunch of BS in the article. I don't live down under, but I would bet it would be a tough task to find speeds as fast as they say for the price they said. It sounds like a "poor me" tail. If a ISP finds doing business is sooooo hard, maybe they should close up shop?

  5. Re:So... on Location Services Raise Privacy Concerns · · Score: 1

I think the more important thing that covers part of what you wrote is that people need to either realize the consequences of using such devices or not cry foul when these things come to light. They can turn it off in most cases. My iphone asks with every app if it's alright to use location services. I select allow or don't allow. If that is really that hard for a person to get, then maybe they shouldn't have a smart phone?

This is kind of like the ex-mayor of Detroit. He sends text messages on a city owned pager that shows he purger-ed himself on the stand in a suit that cost the city 8 million dollars. The texts were obtained under the freedom of information act and when that happened the paper posted the texts. It ended in him doing jail time (which he is back in prison again for parole violations) and him trying to sue for those texts getting out. It's a case of "becuase I was ignorant of the ramifications, they shouldn't have been able to get those texts" bull crap!

It's crying foul after getting caught, and it means very little then.

  6. WTF! on Google Tells Congress It Disclosed Wi-Fi Sniffing · · Score: 2, Informative

It's a broadcast signal for crying out loud!! What really is the big deal? It's broadcast for the whole world to see! If a person drives down my street and has their laptop looking for WiFi they will see mine and 20+ others on my street, most secured. So what is the big deal? Sounds like the congress has found a thin opportunity to stick it's nose in to google's business and is taking full advantage of doing so, even if they are over stepping their boundaries and trying to obtain info that they did little leg work on. Info that they have very little to no legitimate reasons to have or need.

Powerstone is one that I can not believe hasn't made it over to another console for sure. Even though it characters were not as polished as other games (and didn't have sweet bouncing fun bags on lady characters like others!), it had the best game play of any fighter I think ever. The second edition was a little bit of a let down, but still the series had great potential that I don't think any other fighters has tapped in to. Capcom dropped the ball on it I think......

Thank goodness Obama has done so much to fix all that.

How the hell does that even get marked "insightful"?????? If anything I would think the writer was going for humor. I mean really, what does Obama have to do with this? Considering it's a running joke on how little Obama has really done, the mods must be smoking crank to not pick up on the sarcasm.

  9. Old news? on New Declassification Process To Open 400 Million Pages of Records · · Score: 1

Haven't we seen this all before? Didn't the same happen with Clinton? 2013, so if Obama doesn't get reelected then we get what happened the last time, the next administration blocks it from ever happening. If he does get reelected then the documents will be so blacked out that the only visible words we be less then informative or even relate-able to any context. In other words it's a red herring of red herrings.
