Yeah I went to a Yoni concert a while back- I can honestly say I hope he does not lay down and widen.

  4. just silly on Were Neanderthals Devoured By Humans? · · Score: 2, Insightful

To draw the conclusion that 'humans' were eating neanderthal from one isolated finding is just terribly scientific analysis. We have plenty of instances in modern times where there have been isolated instances of cannibalism. Some cases out of starvation, others out of ritual. But it would not be accurate to take those and say "Humans are cannibals."

Well put. American's get too much flack for business practices. Fact is- everyone world wide is out to make a buck in the retail world. Cheers!

We must gain superiority as a nation by trying to limit literacy in other country's. Next we will be changing our subtitles to a made up language and export them. Thank that world!

  8. damn! on The Low-Intensity, Brute-Force Zombies Are Back · · Score: 1

And here I thought this would be about zombies trying to scratch through my door or eat my cats- you know, in a really laid back, maybe give up and come back later kinda way. what a let down.

  9. uhhh on Data Preservation and How Ancient Egypt Got It Right · · Score: 1

  11. Better Idea on Adbusters Suggests Click Fraud As Protest · · Score: 1

How about you just stop using the internet. Stop reading newspapers and magazines because they track where the best distributions locations are, stop going to the super market (because they track what you buy and adjust product pricing and location accordingly) and stop buying adbusters because they sell advertising. I am no fan of google, but civil disobedience because you don't like what a FREE service provider does is silly. Now if Adbusters really wants to make a point- how about they ask to be removed from google searches?

What a douche bag. Our economy is falling apart, our courts should be handling more sinister crimes like rape/murder and this guy is off law suiting away (yes, I know the courts are different for copywrite vs. criminal acts- thank you for pointing that out wannabelawyers on slashdot) on some "oh i'm the victim, the internet is against me" crusade.

  17. Interesting on Attackers Infect Ads With Old Adobe Vulnerability · · Score: 1

Ads through most of Ziff-Davis are run through an Ad serving system called DART- made by Double Click and owned by Google. What is interesting is that DART has an internal checker that scans rich media and .swf files for security vulnerabilities. It is surprising that these were not caught from the start.

Yeah I mean look at what 'talkies' did to movies! Now we have to sit and LISTEN to these so called "actors." It damn near put the piano player out of existence. Thank goodness someone made a piano bar.

  22. a rare situation on Facebook Scrambles To Contain ToS Fallout · · Score: 1

This is such an unusual situation where a companies TOS is causing such an uproar. I think it is a strong sign of the times and the evolution of the internet user. Were people to start reading (and being outraged at) software TOS, I wonder if the response would be the same. Further I can only hope that the power of the user causes a change to the Facebook TOS(though, I doubt it will).
