I think they should be running out of money to produce DNF, 10 years and 20-30 persons on it... Means a couple millions easily.. And still no game out... That's a HUGE budget!
It depends on if my machine can run it fluidly at 1600X1200...
I would sacrifice a big part of the resolution for better graphics often , as you don't see that much of a difference after 1024X768 compared to all the options you can put on to get the same framerate....
I still remember how much strengh i needed to use to make my old NES controllers work... I still remember having the arrows "printed" in my thumb... Those just got that much "tired"... now try to tell me it was "precision" controlling...
Instead of this, we get a single CD in a paper sleeve, a 1 page manual with the CD-Key that is 50 character long and a boring-looking box....
All the money for the good stuff went to pay the guys who made the Copy Protection:P
I hate Paper Sleeves... they are worthless, they don't fit in CD racks and are not protecting your CDs at all...
Manuals should give all the information that you need, so that you can read while installing the game, not in a ReadMe file...
The CD-Key is mostly bull ****, we all know that you can find them in 30 secs with a little bit of knowledge... making us copy those things are just a pain in the ***...
Copy protections are bad simply because the ones who get cracked illegal copies get a version of the game that works better than the ones who legally purchased the game, they don't have that "little program that won't harm your computer but somehow makes it slower and your optical drives can't read anything"...
It's not that i wouldn't buy a game on a console, but rather that if a game go out on the PC and Console, i'll take the PC version because i prefer to play with my mouse and keyboard as well as having more options on the PC...
I think it might take less time for games to go out because they don't have to make it on multiple hardware, and the money they would save would probably go on more innovative titles that wouldn't get the chance because the production costs would be too high, or that the risk of trying something new would be too dangerous in case of a failure...
Its true that we wouldn't see that much of an impact, but we can always hope that the industry would pass some of the profits to us...
Some games are better on the consoles, but many have a much better counterpart on the PC...
As for the decline in PC sales, good games get good sales, but i haven't played much anything lately that deserve a must-buy... Devloppers prefer to go on consoles becase piracy is less wide-spread and it's harder for less knowledgeable persons to "hack" and distribute the console games compared to PC games...

I think console wars are bad simply because it cost too much for everyone: -the game maker needs to remake a big part of the game for it to work on many consoles because he wants it to go to a wider audience -the gamers who can't afford to buy another console just because they want to play that very good game that isn't out on the system of their choice -the console makers who can't do anything much except hope that good games will be made and lots of sales will come from that... then make the next one and hope for the same thing...
i heard that Resident Evil 4 was really great... but it took forever to get on the PS2.. then when it got out, i was too broke to buy it... now i heard that it was gona get out on pc.. been waiting for that for many months... What did i win? nothing, i didn't get the game i wanted to play on the console i wanted to play it.... Who won? nobody, i didn't spend my money... Did console superiority do anything? PS2 is market leader, but i prefer to play on the pc, so i'm still waiting with my money in my hands....
Like every war, Console wars only leaves victims and scars, nothing else... The winner is the one that still have the strengh to get back home....

Shouldn'T they sue the disk companies for that? i mean it's much more easier to use ripped songs than the official DRMed/Rootkitted songs that the music companies are giving us....
Microsoft offers his security updates by iso files in their website... so once a month, you downoad the file, burn it on cd as a saved project... and you use it on all your computers...
simple, safe (as much as a microsoft service could be) and pretty much foolproof

I would rather be worried about the acid contained in the battery.... because of the massive heat output that it would do to it, i guess it would explode..... so after being electrocuted, you're gonna be burned by acid, what a nice way to die ^_^

i checked the documentary.... and it's only promotion about how Halo3 will be beautiful and how it will make a revolution in the graphics of games... and that they tell absolutely nothing about anything of their game!
