    consumption is a much larger issue this time around for my nue laptop. I just got a new HP Turion X2 that has a battery life of about 2 hours. If i am working, less then a hour. -Not even a full movie i bet..

    My last HP notebook about 7 years ago got about 4.5 or 5 hours even with the modem running~~
    A recent review i read noted the Panasonic Toughbooks being one of the best (i agree, dope machines in deed) They were getting about 4 hours. All the other duel core get approx. 2 hrs or worse. -Now i'm finding myself tethered by a power cord more than a network cable, and that is just fuct./ (!) -very interested in the wireless power info these days.

    also solar/inverter manual crank/peddle/pump push/pop whatever...

    ya, any mic can be made a bug. thats old news.. I have a mic and & cam staring me in the face atm, and no way to physically unplug it from my laptop /shrug
    and then there is always the tracking device hidden inside your tooth..

    It seems most readers of / prefer controlling there own media rather then the brainwashing emanating from the tube.
    i could rant for days on how TV does in fact rot the brain... but it seems most here do not need to here that ;)

    bottom line: TV/networks need to adapt (voting for your favorite game-show ass face is not what i mean. {rather something along the lines of what they used to do with Lost. get fans involved by making them search the net for clues pertaining to the show, and also steal the best ideas from the fan base & incorporate them into the show. -all the while being targeted with ads of course })
    the only constant is change.. On the same hand.. I don't really want the TV tainting the interweb more than it already is.. but thats asking for to much.

    low grav w/ insta kills was fun! The engine is so fast and dead-on accurate compared to many others..
    I am not sure on UT3.. but with the second engine in a mod like Red Orchestra you could see the limitations of it.
    For instance... snipping across the map w/ full res up. The trees disappear on the horizon allowing you to shoot people through them. The dead guy thinks he was concealed behind some branches. /shrug
    I assume the UT3 engine will take care of this ;)
    In time, a virtual earth to run/fly/shop, look at mapping, etc. with this engine would be fun stuff.
    ..somebody get on that

    the Fusion has 6 blades. I recieved one in the mail for free. great design w/ 6th blade for trimming pubes or something.
    I will be sticking with the Mach 6 name, not fusion.

    Will i ever buy blades for the Mach 6? ... prob not. I will just go back to using my girls blade in the shower /shrug

    perhaps i'm seeing this wrong.. but it seems that MS wanted a way to boot its new OS faster.. so why not have some of it loaded from flash to appear "instant on" while shit is loading in the background.
    Seeing how alot of distros already boot from flash memory (ubuntu, knoppix .. .) maybe it will be a small mod for linux developers. /shrug

    Also it is for control. Governments (UK, USA) use TV for there main propaganda source & that is something they want direct control on. Soon companies will be springing up with full video TV style stations online. It will be sorta like satellite radio.. no control ATM for them.

    Well Howard Stern is already on the net. He is not on any radio stations FYI because the Feds stomped on his free speach. The fact that he can say whatever he wants [(even lez-miget wrestling in crisco) -waiting for that] makes satellite radio worth the $13 when traveling in yoru car. -That is of course if you listen to the radio at all.
    No commercials is worth it to me. (howard stern has commercials)

    Now offering 75 channels streaming online... i'm listening to sirus ATM in a cafe.. and it SUX compared to good old Shoutcast. Winamp has what.... 200+ stations that you can tweak the audio output of. Plus you do not need a browser window to keep the stream up. I like the freedom that satellite brings to the sheep, but i would never pay to listen online.. that is just absurd.
