Those are almost Xbox360 quality! Surely it can't be for real! The Revolution is tiny in comaprison!
Or maybe Nintendo actually remembered that a games console is meant to be more efficent than an overblown, bogged-down PC with far more in the way of numbers than actual performance.
Their attitude is still directly spun from capitalist attitudes.
Most people seem to cling to Capitalism in concept(which is ironic given their stance on alternate systems like socialism) and not what it results in in practice.
You have to remember this is Canada, not the viciously capitalistic U.S.
Canada is actually progressive and somewhat sensible. The U.S. is all about corporations fucking people around and stupid little peons supporting it in the name of some sacred unalienable rights to screw over consumers that are nowhere to be found in the declaration of independance or constitution.
One of the things that kept the N64 as the Playstation's underdog was the sheer price of the media, putting off developers and potential purchasers. Blu-Ray is set to be even more awkward than that. While it does offer a Blu-Ray player as well most people won't be that interested in the switch. I for one am happy with DVD for the time being, and would rather wait a few years for technology, that's a balance between added quality with all the new technology that will be discovered, and price, by not using the "Best of the best" like Blu-Ray is.
There are so many Bullet Holes in Sony's foot right now, if they were anyone else but Sony(perhaps even Microsoft), they'd be screwed.
Options:
1) Buy Blu-Ray drive, with all it's Sonyness and potential DRM dickery;
2) Buy Several Harddrives, an external Casing, and use those instead.
2) Is cheaper and doesn't involve making a deal with the devil.
How much are PS3 games going to cost? It's going to be the N64 all over again, but worse.
They put this kind of incentive into making a decent operating system.
Does anyone else find it interesting that a socialistic outlook produced Linux, a not very widespread but very efficent and stable system, whereas a Capitalist Outlook is producing Windows Vista, which will no doubt be popular but an enormous waste of resources?
I dislike that pessimistic look on life. All that it takes to be truly intelligent is to be able to make the realisation that we may not be truly intelligent. There are so many complex concepts in that thought, that only a truly self aware and comprehending being can articulate it with such ease.
We are important. We are concious. We are rare. We are life.
It's just a fact of capitalist greed and blatant disregard for the consumer. The record company is doing fine, they should cut their losses instead of making a move that is likely to backfire entirely.
It's pretty likely! Maybe it does indeed mean our conciousness is a building block of society then, and it came from a very strange place with all kinds of weird mad physics type things going on.
- A shiny new "7" where the 6 used to be.
- Built in DRM so you can't play any media at all that Bill Gates hasn't stamped with his penis-device.
- Shuts down your P.C. at random intervals, just to catch those sneaky hackers out.
- Revolutionary new browsing experience through the use of "MS Tabs", a wholely revolutionary system of revolution.
- Comes with Firefox uninstaller.
They could have a point and click method of helping Script Kiddies with their Control issues...
Come to think of it, most message board admins need that too.
This same reason, despite having a scientific mind(somewhat), is why I have trouble believing "Dead is dead". It's suggesting our conciousness could be one of the basic building blocks of the universe. It's obviously not a product of basic biology like some people assert, as that doesn't make any sense.
If there is "another" element, then it can't be created or destroyed. If it's a basic building block, then it won't exactly change either. We are constantly percieving on some level, even if it's faster, or slower, or we don't remember it afterwards.
Will people please stop with the "Mp3 vs. WMA"!!!

Argh! I got the idea after the first 142489.4 replies. Can people are least quickly flick through comments when they've made such an obvious observation, thinking they're so clever, and explaining it in that calm but nerdy +5 manner? How can something be "Insightful" if every bloody person sees the same thing!

Am I the only one who doesn't think that developing bigger and better ways to kill people is an "Advance", but in fact a step backwards?

I won't be impressed by "fast robots" until they build Quickman.
What about all the faulty iPods?
Their plans totally Bombed... I mean seriously, they Blew Up in their faces.
Their attitude is still directly spun from capitalist attitudes. Most people seem to cling to Capitalism in concept(which is ironic given their stance on alternate systems like socialism) and not what it results in in practice.
They also strive to create new capital by overpricing their records, and DRM, with little thought for the consumer.
Exactly what I was saying in the other topic.
Man, I've always wanted a water cooler in my PC. Maybe now if I press "Tab", I really do get a Tab?

That the government can arrest you, and is stupid enough to make several cases of mistaken identity.
