Most people would have their bills lowered, and us-in-the-know would mercilessly jump towards the cheapest gigabyte.
I'm not sure why everyone else is jumping to this conclusion. The companies could simply increase the price per GB until the average price is the same and continue to profit.
True. Also, Facebook claims that it will be implementing XMPP eventually. That would bring millions of users an open standard chat protocol.
Sure, but note that nowhere in that post does it say they are connecting to the other XMPP networks, they only mention logging into your facebook chat with another client. Too bad they haven't committed to taking down any part of the walls around their garden.

No, the people who got it on steam got a game with added/tacked-on features, there's an important difference. The fact that they decided to give more after the fact doesn't mean you got cheated.
I wonder if there will be tools / services that would be able to hammer at (or otherwise crack) the 1024-bit encryption and find the key.
Does anyone know how bad this might be from a computational-power standpoint? You don't even know that it's encrypted; the virus could just replace the file with random data. Unless he's actually planning to give people something for their money (fat chance) you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.
My review: there were some cool bits, but for the most part it was pretty shitty.

You just reminded me of something: Look in the credits, there is a character named Ahmed who is played by an actor called Ahmed Ahmed. I'm 100% serious!
Because they can't draw the line more leniently while still being able to ban the real stuff, otherwise someone making such materials could simply say it was faked. Maybe they shouldn't be illegal, but as a concession to reality, laws need to be enforceable to be effective.
Also, it is impossible to close your account at classmates and stop getting e-mail from them, EXCEPT by searching for "cancel" in their help system. That seems pretty shady to me.
That's debatable, and I'm not saying you're wrong. The GG...GP asked a specific question though, and that was whether you could do it _without_ breaking the law.
Worms Armageddon really is amazing, especially 2-player, but for certain weapons (which you can turn off) I believe it requires a mouse.
C-Dogs is also really fun if you can get it to run properly with sound. (I believe it's a DOS game)
It could be mostly automatic. The search would be simple:

Just repeat for different start-index values and slightly different searches, and you can easily rack up a few thousand unique videos.

There's nothing "super" about losing one's software freedom.
Ever seen "Super Size Me"?
The coolest part about Portal is that you don't feel like you're teleporting, you feel like you're just going through a hole in the wall.
Slashdot have a test?
Ugh. . . apparently not.
What I don't like is the excessive amount of blue, green, and yellow on what should be plain stone tiles.
Haven't you heard? It's because they're made of awesome!
It's times like these I wish there were a "-1 In Bad Taste" mod. . .

Why not try something fun and interactive like Processing?
Apparently when you make an insightful post, you can double the karma intake by posting it twice with only minor changes!

You live in Europe, going by the names of those ISPs and the address you used.
Really? I couldn't tell until he said that he was talking about the Netherlands, in the first sentence.
The bugs would have been there even if Apple hadn't found them. Why not thank them for improving the quality of Ruby?
Good luck with that.
Don't hold your breath, I don't think we have viruses that bad yet.
Thanks for the link, you just wasted several hours of my life O_O.

Sure! I think around. . . 100 times should be enough! Oh wait. . .
