Ah yes, the political equivalent of a ten year old bursting into tears. If all else fails, play the "but won't somebody think of the children" card.
Equating the "please think of the children card" to a temper tantrum does not invalidate its importance. It's merely an extreme example to show that WIFI ISPS not logging activity protects the innocent and guilty alike.
Ok, new plan! We host an "ULTR4 1337 LAN party" on the boat, and when all the anti-deoderant counter-strikers are locked away on the boat, we sail them right off the edge of the earth. For a mere 4.5 mil, we can bring FPSs back to the commoners.
Exactly what level of abstraction do you consider "from scratch"? Must one synthesize the silicon and form it into transistors themselves (be careful with the doping levels), or do they have to start from an atomic or subatomic level? Its ridiculous not to consider buying seperate components and assembling them into a PC "from scratch". If you get any more scratch than that, you're wasting your time.
Please don't post spoilers without indication in the subject line. The interview has not yet been released in zimbabwe, so some of us have not been able to read it yet.
The internet is a wonderfully various place for comics to be distributed. Comic books ahve a history of taking innovative approaches to complex problems. This is a good thing and i applaud it.
Geopolitics is a doulb edged sword. If everything is done right, it can be a great an wonderful thing, but if anything goes wrong... well I'm preaching to the choir here. I just think we should be careful what we wish for.
The post that you're commenting to did not say that posting on/.is a US-only thing, it said that the poster was surprised at how many Europeans post about how dumb US laws are.
Someone mentioned putting gutenburg texts onto palms or something and that got me thinking... I always thought it was cool on Star Trek when Picard was reading some play or old French book on one of those little computer pads. You know, th thins ones where they write all their reports and stuff. This would essentially be the same thing! Am I the only one that thinks thats really cool? Probably...
All this high-tech sound and "music" makes me sick. Lets bring back the good old days when you could listen to a data casette for hours on end. I guess now we have data compact discs, but its just not the same. Give me the screetching of computer data over "New Kids On The Block" any day!
I don't know if we should trust a company that has to use the word "real" in all of its product names. Any company that needs that kind of self vindication at every turn has some serious image problems, and we can only assume that the image problems are caused by an inferior product and they are over-compensating. "Cmon guys, this patch is really real. Its for a real program.Really!"
One wonders why you picked my post to reply to when I am arguing against making fun of France, and there are posts that blatently make fun of it. One also wonders where you learned to spell "people".
Lets put all the joking about France surrendering to open source or testing nuclear weapons on it aside because this is a good thing. Believe me, I'll be the first to admit that making fun of the French is funny, but in this situation, they're the good guys. We should at least have respect for their good choice and reserve making fun of them for other threads.
Forget stocks, they'll probably crash.Forget the 16 year old girl, shes probably ugly. What I'm interested in buying on eBay is this planet earth thing.I hear this planet is the wave of the future. There's water as far as the eye can see, and the streets are paved with gold and are driven on by futuristic auto-mobiles. Does anyone have any further information about this dream planet and where i can bid on it?
Judging from O'Reilly's previous books, I feel it is safe to say that this book will be extremely helpful. I love Eggos!! This book will no doubt contain scrumptious recipes for these instant delights!
"...less than two weeks after the division said it would eliminate as many as 1,000 employees..." I think I'd consider that going overboard a little. What possible justification could this division have for killing 1,000 people? better yet, does this division have the authorization to decide that or did they have to go to the IBM head council? Regardless to the answers to these questions, IBM must be stopped at any cost.

One of the main characters in Spaceballs was Pizza the Hutt. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that might be a company name...
that is all.

What if one of them gets sick like the gelpacks on Voyager did that time?
IBM has been pleasanly surprising us ever since they made Benjamin Sisko their Captain. Coincidence? I think the facts speak for themselves.
Yeah, tobacco companies should offer gloves as compensation for lung cancer, etc.
I don't know who says that, maybe the king of Europe

Way to miss the point! My post was a joke, playing on the fact that the article said that IBM "eliminated" people. stupid

I read that www.buttshappening.com is claiming to own the rights to www.quepasaterior.com. Frankly, I don't get it.
