Developers would love to make simpler games that sell for the same price as a good detailed games. Remember most games sell to a "market pricepoint" not to an amount based on developement costs.
The original Dr. Scoville did indeed use test subjects to grade the hotness of chili's. When a new more accurate scientific method of recording capsaicin levels was invented they named it after Dr. Scoville. I wonder about this weaponizing of chili's, as it is now Pepper Sprays use a concentrated extract that they actually have to delute to make it safe enough for use on perps.
"Smart Carver - Seamlessly remove objects from an image with professional quality. The Smart Carver also lets you expand or contract objects without distortion."
This tool may not be quite as sophisticated but it's cheaper than CS5 Photoshop.
As a son of a father that was on a salt restricted diet, and did the cooking for him in hi slater years, due to having had a heart attack, I can state that salt is overused in many fresh and packaged goods. Yes salt is needed in some recipes, but in many more recipes it can be added to the dish by the person eating it rather than added during cooking. You can always add salt but you can't take it out!
I saw a Documentary on PBS/Discovery/National Geographic(?) about said Brothers. This was the same suggestion I was thinking of. A simple gantry frame to support a camera and lightsystem could be made from parts at your local hardware store. The only big issue would be not having the gantry frame bend under it's ownweight plus the camera lighting rigs weight. The software the brothers developed wouldn't be needed as the map wouldn't have warp and weave distortion to account for.
I had no cartridges or cassette tape storage for my TI-99/4A, so I had to type in all the BASIC code from books and manuals. I would then play around with the code to alter games. I once looped a prtion of a game where little stick men would randomly collide with mugs of beer and then fall down with a chat bubble then popping up saying "Whoops too Drunk!", the "highlight" of my programing career!;-) I ran it on my color TV in a window facing the apartments courtyard. That apartment building was like Animal House circa 1980ish. It was a hit of the party though after the first 2 kegs where emptied.
I have never had any hardware "Bricked" from doing a firmware update. Either I'm just lucky or kiehlster writes with a bit'o artistic license for dramatic effect.
Being self taught myself, I think the biggest downside is some of the strategies and standards that are taught in the mainstream curriculum (IE: how to properly use the object-oriented model, etc.). Especially when I first started out, my code may get the job done, but it wasn't the cleanest or best approach. Luckily, I think it will come to you in time if you focus on improving your code.
(i.e. : how to properly use the object-oriented model, etc.). ------ There fixed it for you. I wouldn't want the Anti-Anything -Microsoft/.'s attacking you for mentioning IE.;-P
Perhaps Utah is just jealous of Wyoming's Coal Mining Industry and is eager to further exploit Utah's coal fields. Those pesty regulators always get in the way of dirty capitalism.
I've seen videos of the "BigDog" in action and they were VERY loud in the video, think a chainsaw on steriods, unless they make it quieter it will attract the wrong sort of people.
This explains the "Kerplunk" sound of a softball or slightly larger sized rock dropped into water. It's the initial splash "Ker" and the collapsing cone "Plunk".
It was more on an entertainment magazine than a science magazine really. I always prefered to get my Sci Fi straight up via publications like Analog, but I found Omni to be entertaining often enough in my youth. It really was more Sci Fi than a true science mag though.
I would say that Omni was more of a Futurist magazine with a good dose of Sci-Fi writing as well. The format made it one of the best glossy mags of it's time as far as style. I also subscribed to Popular Science and Popular Mechanics, I left the reading of Popular Electronics to one of my friends.
It's these sort of buiness practices that demonstrate best why we need net neutrality. The cell phone model is just what some ISP's would like to apply to your home internet connection.
YES!
If you don't have sense enough to properly gauge the strain on you trawling rig and factor in... say the current sea state and speed of the vessel, you are bound to have trouble.

I think they were innocently looking for information on President Bush. After all, he was their boss at the time this happened. ;-p
Twit! Fort Apache is in the Bronx. Everyone knows that right?

Once you read an article about the LHC the state of the facts change.

Efficency is only part of the equation what is the ammount of power produced per square foot?

Even Vancouver, site of the 2010 Winter Olympics, is Steam Punk: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_clock
Reminds me of my favorite misunderstood song lyric: "I can see clearly now my brain is gone."
Has the Tea-Bag Party registered yet?
You mean cheap like Firewire?
So I hope they have a mask included with this product. Inhaling nano particles that stick to surfaces may not be so good for you.

>If the person doesn't use the tape measure properly, and saws the wood too short, there isn't any magic that can fix the problem.
Use the other end of the piece of wood?
Worked for me many times :o)
"Measure twice, cut once"
No matter how many times I cut it, the board was still too short.
