The Swiss team also found a unique characteristic of the network that it used to swarm around one of the nodes more often than not. Later they pinned it on the only hot blonde in the team.
I find Google Docs pretty useful for doing my college assignments. As a group, I don't have to mail every revision to all my team mates and just collaborate online - a wiki of sorts.
Wish they'd have a better way of putting in images though...
I went on a road trip to Chicago and we had a router and two laptops hooked up in the car. The best part was that we could book the hotels as we went on the trip.
What I don't understand is - whose coffers does the money go to? How is this money then used? Why does the company have to pay the state or whoever $14.5 million dollars for something that was, though illegal, done internally in the company. It did not affect any external parties, the state etc. And what does the article mean by The AG's office 'negotiated' a settlement?
Sounds like open bribes to me... but what do I know?
As capitalism spreads across the world the rich will keep getting in richer and the poor will keep getting poorer. The effects are evident not only in the third world countries but also here in the United States (as seen after Katrina). The pay packages of CEOs of top companies have increased by 11% every year where on the other hand the salaries of working class people have remained stagnant or gone down. Across the Atlantic, in countries like Africa, large multinational corporations have robbed the poorest of poor from their own natural assets (look at Kenya & the Middle East).
Unless there is a change in the socio-economic tendencies across the board and corporations become responsible not only for their share holders but also for the people in the countries they are dealing in, the gap will only widen.
What real advantages does Zune really provide over the 5.5 generation iPod? Basically none. I went to Staples to check out a Zune and it is nearly twice as big as the iPod 30 GB and atleast $20 - $30 costlier. The wireless sharing capability is the only big feature but also cannot be used until the people I know have a Zune. And that too is a let down because you can't keep music for more than three days.
It is similiar to the problem Sony is facing against XBox 360. Its new, doesn't have as many games as the 360 and way much costlier. Gee, I'd rather go for the 360.
I'm sure they take turns. I do this usually on the night before the Black Friday sale with a bunch of friends. But you can't stand in 20F doing nothing for more than 1 hour no matter how many layers you have on. So we take turns, get coffee and stuff like that.
In other news, Symantec said that it will release an edition of Norton Anti-Virus for OSX which detects viruses for Windows. Just for kicks to see how many people can be fooled.
In other news Matt Vea's girlfriend was recently seen leaving a 7-11 screaming, "Just choose the goddammned numbers!"

Can the Indian engineers finally go back home?
Why do we need robots when we have Bruce Willis to do the job?

In other news, NTP just sued Blackberry, citing that the vulnerability was actually patented by them.

Now, MySpace is owned by NewsCorp which also owns FOX News. How did Bill O' Reilly allow that??
Lee also said that afraid the Net could be used to spread "misinformation and "undemocratic forces".
'undemocratic'?? They very fact that it can send misinformation makes it very democratic. Look at politicians in a democracy for example...
