Pretty nifty and cuts down on the fan noise unless necessary

I found saying "Take me off your Call list" usually would get a response of "Ok Thank you" and they never call back.
The only thing I have received since then was a call where it hung up and I called the number back and was told to mail them asking to be removed.
I found out they were part of the Canadian Marketing Association who sounds like they are trying to preempt any reatiliation by setting up a Do Not Call list thinking that they may get worse from the govt. So I left my name and number. Now if that ends up getting me more calls then I just go back to the original response.

The best one though was that I got a call from some charity (shriners or something) asking if I could donate. I asked for them to take me off their call list. The guy came back with a snotty tone of "We don't have to do that so there" Yeah that is going to make me want to donate.

I am looking at voip as a replacement for POTS at home. Not for roaming per se but you make a good point. But unless you have something impaled through your throat in the ditch you should be able to tell them where you are anyways. By at least setting up a default address it deals with this one shortcoming with 911.

VOIP providers should be able to set a default address to provide to 911 and if I don't say otherwise it should be assumed to send someone to that address. Obviously 911 staff needs to be educated about this new technology and be aware that the call may give a different address

I agree but I think there is something that needs to be addressed as well with voip. The fact that you need to provide your address.

I don't how 911 determines where you live but I assume it has to do with caller-id connected to a database of addresses. Can someone clarify why they (the voip companies) can't provide necessary info for 911?

the 911 solution seems to be a hack. I was looking at getting Vonage but the thing that concerns me is that with calling 911 you have to give the person on the other end your address. What if there is a situation where you can dial but for some reason can't say anything i.e choking, home invasion etc?

Once they address this then I will probably look into it again.

And then I borrow your car and run a red light. Guess who's getting the ticket!

The owner of the car gets the ticket as they are ultimately responsible for whomever drives their car. Here (Ontario) if someone borrows your car and runs a red light, you get a ticket in the mail but you don't get any points off which means that the owner of the car involved is getting the ticket not the individual.

Personally I think red light cameras are a good idea. People seem to forget that yellow means stop if safe to do so. And usually if the lights have walk signals you know when they start flashing that the light is going to change soon so you can slow down (or speed up if you think you can make it).

It is basically taking everything from all the other books that are mandatory (70-290->70-294) as well as new some less technical material and throwing it at you. I did 70-298 and will usually use Braindumps after studying to test my knowledge. There wasn't any. Usually by the time I do a braindump, I get them right anyways. With 2003, it isn't that easy. The braindumps help a little but the questions are getting more and more complicated and I gather changed. There is a new format of exam as well where you get one situation and about 10 questions regarding each situation and you can't go back once you finished the situation. You need to do more hands on and be more comfortable and know the interfaces so you can do it blindfolded.
