The Achievements are one of the best features to me. Live would seem pretty empty without them (I wouldn't play Trackmania Nations/United without rankings either). I only wish you could replay the games and get more points (thus increasing their replayability) intead of a limited amount per game. Maybe that'll change.
Either way, "props" to the geniuses who came up with the idea.
But it will likely be just like the Fallout Lite that Bethesda is bringing out. i.e., no violence to children (I'm gonna miss cutting them in half with gunfire), selling them to the black market for the sex trade...prostituting out women.
None of the meat of Fallout that made the franchise great (before BOS) will be there. So, it'll only be Fallout in name.
There's really no point in bringing out a Fallout without all the violence and terrible things you could do. I bet there'll barely be any blood.
NWN2 feels more like a mod than a brand new game in my opinion. It looks and feels pretty much identical to the original NWN. Even the voices are the very same. It would have been nice to at least have new voices to choose from.
The 360 has been out for a year, so the claim to 10mil first really does not count. Give the others a year to reach 10 million and then see who reached the amount the fastest to be fair.
...to enact corporate death penalties. A monoply in itself isn't much of a crime, but abuse by said monopoly should warrant the business's death sentence, which would be a complete liquidation of their assests to be spread in full to the community and disallow any golden parachutes for the likes of Bill Gates or any other in position of power.
...did it seem that Zonk has no clue that Warcraft was a direct rip-off of the Warhammer universe and not the other way around?
It cracked me up though to see his question about the "comparisons by gamers" of the two games. Of course there are comparisons to be made. Only the younger, however, will fail to realize that Blizzard pretty much stole the idea, even the orcs, from the Warhammer franchise (Gamers Workshop). You can't steal ideas from your own work.
The funniest is how he rounded 81,639 ps3s sold down to "about 81000" and rounded up the 360 sales from 3,864 to 4000. Even upped the Xbox number from three to four.
You sir are a walking ball of hilarity.
Hang the guy and yet he did a better job of keeping the terrorists out than the US is. They need to put him back in power, there's no way the US can hold it. Iraq has fallen apart since the Americans went in and like Vietnam I'm sure they'll just pull out like every other place and leave it in a mess for someone else to clean up.
The one you should hang is Bush.;)
Maybe I have this all wrong but 160 watts seems way too low for any modern rig, considering the juice required for the video cards. My power supply is over 600 watts and my two video cards need 150 watts each to run effectively. Does that not mean my beast uses far more than 160 watts?
Big update coincides with the major release of Final Fantasy XII (which is naturally not even mentioned on this now pro-MS site, yet Gears of War is?), as if it'll do anything. You crack me up.
I don't have an iPod and I doubt I'll ever have one but it's pretty ironic that these are all iPod "killers" when iPod's pretty tough to beat, hasn't yet been killed, and for years now there hasn't been anything near as popular. They should only be called iPod killers when they get to the same level as an iPod both in sales and popularity.
On second thought I might just pick me up one of those 60gb ones.
No government or government-chosen anything should have a place to decide what is moral or immoral in society or web domains, books, etc. Freedom of speech, freedom of government interference and all that. Unless you're creating a website devoted to planned killing of someone/group of people they should have no power to dictate. Because morality, really, only comes down to opinion anyway. One person's morals might clash with another's (religions). So how do you decide who is right? You can't because everyone's "right."
I guess you have not seen the Motor Storm/NBA2k7 screens/videos. Oh that's right. You have. There is a lot of Ps3 news going on that you're failing to report on.
As for Gears Of War. I don't think a 3rd person shooter will have the power to persuade, especially since you'll be able to buy it on the PC. If you can buy a game elsewhere, it only hurts your chances.
Isn't it ironic that when Sony was sued over their controller all the hate on here showed through and the cheering on here was immeasurable. But now that MS has been found to be infringing on yet another company's patent you don't see those same people cheering. What, is Sony the only one who fucks up? No, I didn't think so.
For a second there I thought Zonk actually posted another anti PS3, non news story. My mistake Zonk, I realize now that you are actually a credible source of news.
How's Billy treating you, anyway?
But technology isn't a mere loaf of bread. $600 is a lot, I admit, but it's also new technology. DVD players, when they first came out, were a lot more than $600. And DVD burners? I was sad I couldn't afford the $2,000+ for them when they were new, and that wasn't that long ago either. Now look at how cheap they are.
Standalone BluRay players are a hell of a lot more expensive than a PS3 and they only play movies. Why can't people complain/troll about those?
Zonk sounds like nothing more than a paid shill sponsored by MS. Not that I can prove it, but just the way he has to bash PS3 any possible way he can screams "I'm paid by somebody to disgrace my competition." If Zonk were smart (no astroturfers are) he'd slow down on the bashing to look a little less biased, a little less likely to be background checked to see where money is coming from.
But then again, MS wouldn't pay him for being civil.
But somehow I don't think they're getting the whole story...

A friend of mine has a non-modded 360 and that updated turned his 360 into a brick. So no, it didn't only affect modded systems. Not by a long shot.

This sounds awfully familiar. Almost as if I've heard of it before...

You are not narrowing your options. There are over 10000 PS2 games and more PS1 games. Narrowing your options is a definite no.
Now that Google pwns YouTube it'll just go downhill. Remember when iFilm was taken over by MTV? So goodbye YouTube, hello YouSuck.
Key words are as follows: a year.
