Bypasses every game protection i ran into, and i can emulate cd's so i dont need the fucking cd to play the games i've LEGALLY have purchased. EA, eat me lusers, i've paid for my copy of 1942, and i'll use it any goddamn way i PLEASE.

    back in 99/2000 i was a network admin for the senior development lab (basically a bunch of high end pcs and switches and routers where we taught various IT concepts in a protected network environment) at my school where i did my undergrad. All our boxes had 3crap 905C nics. At this time frame, 3 crap had extremely broken packet drivers for the 905C, which made doing multicasts with Ghost 6 impossible. Despite having the Dean of my program call 3com and bitch to them, they didnt lift a damn finger. Eventually we forced our vendor (Gateway) to replace all the 3crap 905C's with 905B's, which had a working packet driver. Eventually the newer versions of Ghost included a working driver for 905c's so you didnt have to rely on 3crap's driver. Needless to say, this experience made me a big fan of Intel's nics.

    hate to burst your bubble, but with modern games, 2k or xp run it as good or better then 98 will. Besides many hardware vendors are no longer updating or optimizing their 98 drivers.

    normally my home firewall (linux of course) logs about 100k bytes in messages per day (i have iptables log all dropped packets). Today alone its over 50 megs. Normally i have logrotate.conf set for weekly rotations, but i switched it to daily, and made sure my var partition has more then enough room (3 gigs free, so i think i am ok).

    while it does work in 2.6, if you need some of the esoteric features provided by patch-o-matic, your still stuck on 2.4 (if there is a patch-o-matic for 2.6, someone tell me).

    almost all mail servers will put a cap on the maximum size of a smtp transaction. Otherwise one dweeb mailing the latest windows xp iso to his mailing list. could bring to a crawl an entire (medium size) isp's mail server.

    My mail server refuses anything over 2 megs.

    every lexmark printer i've had to work with (and believe its been a quite a few) has been a cheap piece of crap. Most inkjets are pretty cheesy too. And the scary thing is, you can get quality lasers (samsung ml-1710) for under $100 if you shop hard. No funky multi-meg drivers required either.

    simple, firewall all of korean net space, then firewall the source of the spam mail. Agressive blacklisting of spam senders and spam supporters works, witness spews and its ability to make even the biggest spamhauses kick spammers off their networks.
