I just went to the Dell website and every server I clicked on customize I could get with no OS, Windows, or RHEL. No OS was the cheapest, with RHEL next, then Windows.
If they didn't know I doubt it would be their fault. The same would be true if you left your car unlocked in your driveway and somebody took it and drove it through the park running over countless people. How is that the car owners fault?
Probably the same thing people do when they have lots of people and want to take a normal car.. take more then one. Or overstuff the vehicle with more people then it can handle safely.
When you pay for cable you are not paying for the content on the TV (with the exception of premium channels) you are paying for the delivery of the channels.
"Personally, I am terribly annoyed by TVs in restaurants and airports: they grab my attention over and over, no matter how hard I try to ignore them, and they distract me from the conversations that I should be having with my human companions. "
So because you don't have the ability to focus on a person sitting right in front of you and/or you can't go to a different establishment that meets your needs. Those of us that go to such places because we want to watch the TV there have to suffer. Not to mention that I'm sure it annoyes the owner of the establishment because he obviously wants them there.
Not only that, as a new DirecTV customer I just got a DirecTiVo (35hr), a reciver for my other room (non-tivo), the dish, and install for $20 after rebate. Can't beat that!

The first War of the Worlds movie had all kinds of religious overtones that were not in the original story.
How does a remake ruin an original? What has changed in the original once a remake comes out? Nothing.

I have HL1/CS on three computers. When I want to play I just click on the game, put in my login and off I go.
I love it. I lost my HL CD but still had the case, all I needed was the key number off the case.
And you do not need to have a net connection to play the single player mode
If anything this will make people not port the products to run in linux because they'll tell you to just use a WINE product to run them.
Oh yah, like Atari (Lynx) and Sega (Game Gear) and don't forget NeoGeo (Pocket [Color]).
This will surely get squashed.
