Hey, that's a great idea. I'll donate my time by setting up each PC for them. I normally charge $10,000,000 each for this service, but I am thinking of the children here and will do it free!! After about a classroom full of PCs I'll have surpassed Microsoft's donation.

"We're not far from that," Moore said on Monday. "Before we had our Hafnium breakthrough, we were down to the point where we were at five molecular layers in the gate structure of the transistors. When you clearly can't go below one...you get into other types of problems," Moore said. The law will continue, they just need breakthroughs with Quarternium, Eigthnium, etc..
To extend on that further, like the iPhone anti-theft program being developed you can have the script check a simple web page which the content is either 0 or 1.. If its 0 it waits. You set it to 1 when its stolen. Then the script takes pictures, reports addresses, emails web history, phone & sms records (for an iphone anyway) and can do dozens of other things, you just need to write the script.
I would think most laptop/gadget "opportunity" thefts are done by folks who arent IT pros. It's going to be someone who would spend some time going through the device using its own OS to get files off for at least a short time, and then wipe it with a OS reinstall.
no e-mail client, but I guess web-based e-mail would work too. just copy MobileMail.app from an iPhone, and with some way to edit the account settings, it'll probably work fine.
No, the "Schwartz"!
