Literally, the last resort I had was to blow up the school (you'd be amased at what you can learn from a library in the pre-internet days), kill myself, or move. I'd like to think I picked the right choice.

Yeah ? Tell this to the 10.000 Iraqis dead in their homeland. "Oh, sorry for killing you, kid, we just wanted to take your leader down."
The attack has not led to many groups of loons (sic) who hate the US.

I bet it'll be modded as flamebait, but it's my oppinion anyway, so I'll post it.

I think right now at this time and this place the greatest threat to American liberty comes from Bush and their sympathizers rather than from Al-Qaida.

This works this way: An unjustifiable attack to other countries (like Iraq) leads to more anger from its citizens and even other countries. Now we have not just one group of loons who hate the US (Al Qaida), but many.

  12. Re:Circular on Arctic Ice Holds Much CO2 · · Score: 4, Informative

In order to the ice melt, temperature must be increased. A hotter liquid can hold less dissolved gasses. An increase of one degree C on the oceans means some billions of tons of CO2 more on the air.

And we simply dump too much CO2. "The average American per capita emission is 5 tons of carbon annually."> (Damn! It's TOO much!)

More CO2 on the air, plus oceans retaining less C02 means something bad will happen.

  13. Re:Circular on Arctic Ice Holds Much CO2 · · Score: 4, Interesting

Not only this, but the Arctic ice melting decreases Earth's albedo, thus melting more ice and releasing more greenhouse gases.

Maybe an easier solution would be a device that captures the (VGA | DVI) output. Or, even cheaper, a software that captures the frames. Even if it has protections against this kind of software, you could run it in a virtual machine, like Vmware.
