Here in Australia they just passed a carbon tax - as if we can just tax the problem away.
So are you suggesting that the polluters shouldn't pay?
News flash, if pollution eats into a company's profits they will find a way to reduce pollution. Is that too hard to understand?
..... In the late 90s when Linux was becoming a threat to UNIX and Microsoft, he just could not believe one could run Linux legitimately without a license.
Perhaps that's because you neglected to tell him Linux does have a license, what do you think the 'L' in GPL means?
You make boiling water sound like an absolute necessity, I don't know what part of the world you are from but I have personally drunk unboiled water from rivers, lakes, snow and somehow survived.
In other words you are full of shit
So if I spent $100,000 with CCP to buy... whatever amount of PLEX that is, how much ISK would I have?
What's to stop me from just going into EVE with that value of ISK (seriously, I'm curious--what would that be about for market value?) and just dominating the world fiscally? If I was insane and had money to burn I could buy my own Galactic Empire, right?
It's been done before, a russian businessman has spent tens of thousands of dollars to try and dominate the game, found something about it here (scroll down): http://www.ironwheel.net/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=643
"It appears that there is a war being bankrolled by an isk-selling Russian millionaire against Goonswarm to maintain his isk-selling operation."
But you still need an army of pilots to fly all your ships... But I guess you could pay them too
Do you realise that the world extends beyond the borders of your country? The game is hosted outside of US jurisdiction, so WTF has the IRS got to do with it?
You're right. If you want it to be user-friendly like Windows you have to put the gobbledygook in a little gray window with buttons that don't respond when you click them.
Also, make the gobbledygook as uniform as possible, so that nobody can ever tell the cause of the error. That should do quite nicely!
And label the buttons "Abort" and "Fail" so that nobody will know which button to press
Roger Ebert seems to have bound himself deeply to his personal definition of what art should be and is desperately grasping at straws to try and convince others that he is right. Creating, and trying to enforce rules, for what constitute art is the goal of a pedantic bureaucrat without the capacity to just enjoy.
"Creating, and trying to enforce rules, for what constitute art" is an art form itself, enjoy!
The model is 586, but that's not the cpu in the beast. I know it's asking a lot but how about RTFA? Or even taking note of the date - late 80s. And when was the Pentium cpu (aka 586) first manufactured? 1993.
Turn in your geek card fool!
.... I probably wouldn't have kept paying to play because you can't stop or your character is gone... No replay value in other words.
You can suspend your account at no cost and come back when you have time to play, I did so for 7 months and my character, ships and gear were right where I left them when I returned.
The way EVE works is that you can trade ISK only for game time and not the other way around.
Not any more... You can now legitimately buy PLEX (pilot license extension aka 30 day time card) from the eveonline site, and sell it for ISK ingame i.e. RL money to game time to ISK.
And you can do the opposite, if you have a lot of in game currency you can purchase PLEX with ISK, avoiding the use of RL money for that purpose.

Switches on electrical outlets are more widespread than just the UK. We also use switched outlets in Australia and New Zealand.
OTOH having fuses in the plug is a clever idea I haven't seen anywhere except UK plugs.
But if instead they object, then we will all know they've been blowing smoke up our asses.
Or 'they' price the cost, both in dollars and carbon, of constructing and operating an nuclear facility a little differently to you..

Mel Gibson? Most of us Aussies have disowned him, and besides he wasn't even born downunder - try Peekskill, New York, U.S.A.

There is nothing inherently inferior about x86 compared to any other instruction set or architecture....
ORLY? "The x86 architecture used in most PC systems poses particular difficulties to virtualization" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypervisor

This is such a non-story. Who cares about this?
This is such a lame comment, why did you even bother?
Yes, ewe also clearly have no sense of humor.
There, fixed it for ya...

I just shot a unicorn with cupid's bow. Unicorn guts EVERYWHERE.
Ahah! So now I know where this fine food product really comes from! http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/41/unicorn-meat.shtml
I note that you make no effort to explain the firing upon the wounded and their rescuers. What do your precious ROE have to say about this?
Yep, and since your computer is a 586.....

Call me when the NYSE has frikin' Lasers and spaceships!
I also want to be able to purchase game time with my ISK.
Search for PLEX in the market. It really is that simple. Expect to pay about 320M ISK for 30 day PLEX if you want to buy immediately
