Well considering the universe is 6000 years old and the earth is at the center of creation I would think it's obvious. Plus God gave me a certificate of authenticity. She's nice like that.

That's generally what I do when I fly domestic. But many planes will turn it back on any time the flight attendants make an announcement. On some planes this resets the system to being turned on once the announcement is done.

I don't understand why the current generation of game consoles even have a optical drive in them. From what I can tell, a good chunk of the game has to be downloaded anyhow. Did they include it because physical media has been the norm historically?

When the PS3 came out, it was probably the best option for a Blu-Ray player. But these days a Blu-Ray player is so cheap, I would guess that anyone that wants one, already has it. From what I understand, both the current XBox and PS require an internet connection to even play single player games. So what was the point of having a drive?

Sometimes when it wants my attention it will grab a rope bone or other toy, flail it around and hit me with it to get my attention. I don't think we define dogs as tool users though.

Sending up a swarm of drones is not going to make people sympathetic to a cause. At that point it goes from a protest to endangering lives. Which won't get the kind of attention any non-insane group is looking for.

Regardless, yes, it should be possible to have this discussion. The alternative is to shout them down and punish them for mentioning such things. What do you think that will get you? My guess is that they will learn to not be noticed and their beliefs will continue. If you can have a rational discussion, you at least have a chance of persuading someone that they should reconsider.

But we're getting to the point where discussion has become irrelevant. If group A wants something and suddenly Group B decides they want it too, group A then changes their mind and considers the topic to be the harbinger of the apocalypse just to spite group B.
