Re:I have a similar problem
Just to clarify the how gmail ignores dots and does not let people set up accounts where only the dots differ:
"If the sender added or removed dots from your email address, the message will still go to your inbox. Your email address is unique; people can't set up an identical account even with a different number or placement of dots." Gmail help

Bookmarks and The Great Suspender
This is what Boomarks are for : keeping a list of frequently visited sites.
And if you are a tabs hoarder, The Great Suspender extension is your best friend on Chrome : https://chrome.google.com/webs...
On Firefox, you can use Suspend Tab or UnloadTab extensions I think.

Nope, at least not according to the Supreme Court. Check out US v. Causby. You have rights to the first 365-500 feet. Spoiler:

Re:The one profitable Amtrak route
I guess it depends on your definition of "alongside." Here's an example of the Conotton Creek Trail. https://www.google.com/maps/pl... The Northeast corridor is part of that subsidy. Take it away and we'll have to either let Amtrak stop operating or make up the lost profits in additional subsidies.

Allow Risky Access Permissions By Unreviewed Apps
Google recently implemented a verification process for Projects using certain features and scopes, in response to phishing attacks. However, they have also created a method to bypass the verification process when using Projects for personal use.
You will need to join the ‘Allow Risky Access Permissions By Unreviewed Apps’ Google group to bypass the verification. After authenticating, you can then leave this group.

Re:Liberals
The left wing in various contexts throughout history can censor things, yes, but here in the US at the moment? The right wing is the one that is in any power.
...Riiiight.
It's those conservative right-wingers that use violence as a heckler's veto to chase "progressive" speakers off of college campuses.
Oh, wait, I was wrong.
It's self-styled "PROGRESSIVES" that go around actually engaging in political violence by "punching Nazis". (Well, they try to - the candy-ass metrosexual wimps usually get their asses kicked - just Google "moldylocks gets punched". Oh, wait, I did it for you! BWAA HAAA HAAAA!!!!)
It's "PROGRESSIVES" who go around shutting down speakers they don't agree with for the simple act of daring to say things they don't agree with.
It's "PROGRESSIVES" who glorify political violence - any pay homage to fanatic Islam - by severing the head of President Trump.
So we can conclude that, just like most hard-left idiocy, "progress" involves not just censorship but actual political violence.

Re: No it won't
Your post is a textbook example of "lies, damned lies, and statistics". Now lets break down why.
You claim that the number of civilians killed by cops is 4x the number of cops killed by civilians.
A quick google shows that there are around 1.1 million cops in the US. Another quick google shows that the population of the US is about 321.4 million. But that number is from 2015 while the cop number is from 2008. Eyeballing the chart on the second google, it looks like we can safely use a nice round 300 million for 2008, so that is what I will use.
298.9 million (300 - 1.1) is two-hundred and seventy-one point seven three times LARGER than 1.1 million, making it common-fucking-sense that more civilians will have been killed by cops, than cops killed by civilians.
Next time, try thinking before posting. You're just causing yourself to lose credibility otherwise. -

They're targeting a different market. The AtGames portable has the emulator market tied up. I'll bet they're taking an early swipe at the NES Classic but with an online market. The guts of the machine will most likely be AllWinner Android box with modified version Android 6. So you can also get streaming services and use prebuilt dev tools and games already on the Play Store. Version 2 or 3 is where they'll go after the the Switch market once that shakes out.

Re:A UBI...
People who advocate for UBI don't math.
Actually, a universal social security would stabilize the social security OASDI system permanently by providing a basis; reduce total income tax burden on all income earners (the rough, unadjusted model cuts the top tax bracket from 39.6% to 35%); reduce payroll taxes by 0.9%; and reduce corporate income taxes by 2.5%.
Try actually doing the math once.
Math tallying government budgets and universal social security projections. Also math about impacts on take-home wages.
I also did further math on the handling of childcare welfare and naturalized American households, which came out (in 2013) to cost ~1.4% more of all AGI on top of this. This system shifts OASDI from payroll to income taxes and redistributes it into a universal benefit, then restores OASDI's full benefit to OASDI recipients by restoring the OASDI payroll tax at 5.3%, hence why it's only a 0.9% reduction in payroll taxes and not a 6.2% reduction.
Note that this is a rough model, and needs adjustment by the CBO. The tax brackets actually peak at the middle-income level, then fall back down again. Even without adjusting to smooth tax brackets, the low point is at $200,000, where a single earner takes home $2,700 more spendable income than he does today, and a two-adult household (joint filer) takes home around $11,000 more. Everyone with more or less income than this is more-advantaged by this system.
That middle-class peak tax bracket, by the way, comes from the Social Security OASDI tax being currently capped at $121k ($118k in 2016). There's an extra 6.2% paycheck + 6.2% payroll tax (or 12.4% FICA, for the self-employed) on top of the Federal tax brackets. Once you break out of the Social Security Wage Base, your tax burden drops.
Do any of you people bother doing the math before you talk about whether the math works out?

Re:Why am I not surprised?
I understand how this might confuse people as I had the same misunderstanding of heat pumps myself.
I have no confusion about heat pumps. The standard for cold weather with a reversible heat pump is to combine it with resistive heating. Preferably high voltage resistive heating with PTC heating elements. Heat scavenging from the drivetrain further improves performance.
No, you don't. The batteries need to be protected from being frozen.
A cruising li-ion EV on the highway is putting 300-400W into its battery pack, a couple hundred into wiring, and perhaps 800W into each of the motor and inverter. You can take power from the latter three at will. The former you can take at a rate slower than it enters, assuming that it's preheated and that said rate is positive; if it's cold enough and poorly insulated enough, then heat loss is greater than incoming heat and you have to use resistive heating and/or scavenged heat from the drivetrain.
Not all EVs make good use of heat scavenging, but at least the Model S does a good job scavenging it. Which is why heating doesn't cut as much of the range as you'd expect. For example, at 120kph / -20C the 75's range drops from 328km to 293km by using the heater - 11% for nearly three hours of heating at a quite cold external temperature.

Re:Never say never =)
Into that mix come early automobiles, little more than glorified carriages with primitive gas engines or electric motors. It’s not surprising that despite the manifold annoyances of dealing with horses, they were viewed with suspicion. And our faithful saddle pals had been good enough for thousands of years, right? Remember what they yelled at early motorists? “Get a horse!” (source)

Hmmm -
Re: Evergreen Statehow the fuck did you get modded up at all, with your rewriting of history and not a single thing to back it up?
This is why we get so much fake news from you far righties.
Constantly, historians, have shown that NAZI facism was far right. In fact, it is by definition, consider to be a far right action.:
fascism
faSHizm/
noun
an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization. synonyms: authoritarianism, totalitarianism, dictatorship, despotism, autocracy; More (in general use) extreme right-wing, authoritarian, or intolerant views or practice. Here are more links:
Fascism /fæzm/ is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism,[1][2] characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and control of industry and commerce,[3] that came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe. The first fascist movements emerged in Italy during World War I, before it spread to other European countries. Opposed to liberalism, Marxism, and anarchism, fascism is usually placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum.[4][5]
Then we have the implication of your posting that NAZIs were left-wing, which is as far from the truth as your calling W or trump liberals.
National Socialism (German: Nationalsozialismus), more commonly known as Nazism (/ntszm, næ-/[1]), is the ideology and set of practices associated with the 20th-century German Nazi Party, Nazi Germany, and other far-right groups. Usually characterised as a form of fascism that incorporates scientific racism and antisemitism, Nazism's development was influenced by German nationalism, Pan-Germanism, the Völkisch movement and the anti-communist Freikorps paramilitary groups that emerged during the Weimar Republic after Germany's defeat in World War I.
Nazis were strongly opposed to the far left, but added minor elements of it, to appease ppl. The real fist in the nazis was PURE RIGHT WING, just like Trump today is. NAZIs HATED the far left which is why they invaded USSR as soon as they thought they could. Perhaps the ONLY element of the left that they accepted was the lefts love of science. Sadly, the NAZIs perverted science, just like today's GOP does
Here is how the ORIGINAL socialist party was perveted in under a year, by hitler and his far right cronies.
The small number of party members were quickly won over to Hitler's political beliefs. He organized their biggest meeting yet of 2,000 people, for February 24, 1920 in the Staatliches Hofbräuhaus in München. Further in an attempt to make the party more broadly appealing to larger segments of the population, the DAP was renamed the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) on February 24.[12][13] Such was the significance of Hitler's particular move in publicity that Karl Harrer resigned from the party in disagreement.[14] The new name was borrowed from a different Austrian party active at the time (Deutsche Nationalsozialistische Arbeiterpartei, German National Socialist Workers' Party), although Hitler earlier suggested the party to be renamed the "Social Revolutionary Party"; it was Rudolf Jung who persuaded Hitler to follow the NSDAP naming.[15]
That is history. What you are writing is nothing more than a total re-writing of history in hopes that the idiots will follow your line of thinking . -

Some of your articles hint that eradication would not create an ecological impact. Some also stated that eradication efforts are "not worth it unless there was a very serious public health emergency."
Perhaps the true question is how many humans will have to become infected or die until the latter statement rings true?
Perhaps we look at history to answer that. The mosquito has long been known as the deadliest animal on the planet. They have killed countless humans through the ages. It carries over a dozen diseases, including malaria, which still kills over a million people every year. Now Zika has been added to that infamous list.
Sad when you consider the innocent victims of Zika are babies suffering from microcephaly. The fear of that affliction alone is a form of terrorism when it comes to people wanting to start a family. Imagine the other impacts of areas known to be Zika-prone. Think your home value would not plummet if they found a 300% increase of Zika cases in your zip code? Impact local business that rely on humans being outside but now aren't due to increased fear of infection? I'm willing to bet it would. Much like the global concerns surrounding the Ebola outbreaks a few years ago, humans can get rather panicky when it comes to increased chances of being exposed to a life-threatening disease. Perhaps rightly so.
It would appear that we are doing something now to counter the threat, likely because enough revenue is at risk. Efforts have to be financially justified when it comes to preventing harm or death these days. If we do nothing in response to increased risk, then the mosquito will simply stand as yet another form of population control.

Completely false, they are vital to the ecosystem.
My understanding is that they don't occupy a vital niche in the food-chain or otherwise in the ecosystem.
Google is your friend. I knew the answer to this already, but was surprised by how readily available source material was to support my response.

Re:Why did Google turn him in?
Look at https://myactivity.google.com/... if given a user name does not look like it is hard for google to display what you did.
No, but Google won't provide that data without a search warrant or subpoena, properly issued by a court. In a criminal case like this, they'd have to have probable cause to think there's evidence in his search history before the court would issue the warrant needed to get it from Google.
It's more likely they got a warrant to search his computer, and found the searches in the browser history.

NOT sharing valid security info. = dumb
See subject: Everyone benefits by sharing it. It's exactly how programs like mine work APK Hosts File Engine 9.0++ SR-7 32/64-bit https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&biw=&bih=&q=%22APK+Hosts+File+Engine%22+and+%22start64%22&btnG=Google+Search&gbv=1/ using valid information from reputable & reliable security sources & yes, it works well (even per
/.ers who like & use it) ala https://yro.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=10839329&cid=54777645/* Sharing "cyber-security" information here would be to EVERYONE's advantage involved, e.g. - KNOWN sources of threats would be one such example (& blocking them, just as my program above does, keeps you PROOFED vs. touching them & thus being infected by them...)
APK
P.S.=> You can quickly + EASILY figure out when it's invalid/bogus (so if a source consistently provides bad or invalid information/misinformation, you simply stop using them)... apk

Re:Holding it wrong
Most thieves work as teams.
Robbery is one of the crimes most likely to have a group of perpetrators, but even so the majority of robberies (55-60%) are committed by solo individuals. -
Have you read the Net Neutrality act?
I did when it was first released and not sure if this pdf is the same one https://www.google.com/url?sa=...
But a large majority of it covers cell phones.

Of course they use Delaware for comparisons...
Why use Delaware? It's less taxing than other states!

Re:$250K is the definition of the evil 1%
How about some data to put these arguments into context?
Its less fashionable neighbor, Queens, outearns Brooklyn at $54,373 per year. New York City's most suburban borough, Staten Island, is also its richest, with a median household income of $70,295, while the suburban counties surrounding New York are all richer than any of the boroughs.Jan 9, 2014
https://www.google.com/url?sa=...The ACS 1-year data shows the median family income for San Francisco was $103,237 in 2015. Compared to the median California family income, San Francisco median family income is $29,656 higher. As with the median household income data, 2016 family income data for San Francisco will be released in September of 2017.
http://www.deptofnumbers.com/i...Based on those numbers, a "family" composed of 2 earners would be making 5x the median income for a familly in San Fran and 6x that in Staten Island. I'd say that definitely qualifies as rich. Now whether that affords one a "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" type of living, would be a different question. No doubt though that $250K is a lot even on the wealthy coasts. That housing costs are outrageous is a whole other issue.
