Re:Enough
And about 99.999999999% of the rest of the websites, including mine. An added bonus will be that search engines will be useless, and we can go back to the manual indexing of the golden years of Internet when the only problem we had was the blink tag.
Not: Some current websites might not work as expected. Please remove CSS and start using tables like it should be.

Netscape 1.0
If you want to run Netscape on it : http://houghi.org/Fun/Netscape...
Somehwre I must still have the floppy with Trumpet Winsock on it as well as Eudora.
To be fair, I really like the first version of Windows 95. The one without IE. After that I went to Linux, so no idea how the rest is.

Re: The attack: DNS rebinding
Try http://hackme.houghi.org/ Do a DNS lookup first. It also confuses people. Even plenty of network people need a second look.

I use a raspberry zero w to do some light switching. I could access it from the Intertubes over ssh, but turning in and off a light would bre the least of my problems.
The web interface is not accessible from the outside. But no way on hell would i do this via an external app with any company. Oh, the webserver is http://hackme.houghi.org/

Re:Atari 2600 Expert Here
Reminds me of my website http://houghi.org/
To Whom It May Concern:
I am hereby officially tendering my resignation as an adult. I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities of a 6 year old again.
I want to go to McDonald's and think that it's a four star restaurant.
I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make ripples with rocks.
I want to think M&Ms are better than money, because you can eat them.
I want to play kickball during recess and paint with watercolors in art.
I want to lie under a big Oak tree and run a lemonade stand with my friends on a hot summers day.
I want to return to a time when life was simple.
I want to know only colors, addition tables and simple nursery rhymes.
I want to think that the world is fair and that everyone in it is honest and good.Somewhere in my youth...I matured and I learned too much.
I learned of nuclear weapons, war, prejudice, starvation and abused children.
I learned of lies, unhappy marriages, suffering, illness, pain and death.
I learned of a world where men left their families to go and fight for our country, and returned only to end up living on the streets... begging for their next meal.
I learned of a world where children knew how to kill...and did.I want to be oblivious to the complexity of life and be overly excited by little things once again.
I want to return to the days when reading was fun and music was clean.
I want television to be something I watch for fun, not something I use for escape from the things I should be doing.
I want to live knowing the little things I find exciting will always make me as happy as when I first learned them.
I want to believe that anything is possible.
I want to be naive and thinking that everyone was happy because I was.
I want to walk on the beach and only think of the sand between my toes and the prettiest seashell I could find.
I want to spend my afternoon climbing trees and riding my bike.Somewhere in my youth...I matured and I learned too much.
I learned of computer crashes of mountains of paperwork.
I learned of depressing news of how to survive more days in the month than there is money in the bank.
I learned of doctor bills, gossip, illness and loss of loved ones.
I learned of politics, rasicism and discrimination.I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs and a kind word.
I want to see the world not as a whole, but rather being aware of only the things that directly concerned me.
I want to be naive enough to think that if I'm happy, so is everyone else.
I want to spend my afternoons climbing trees and riding my bike.
I want to wonder what I'll do when I grow up, and what I'll be.
I want to live simple again.I want that time back.
I want to be 6 again. And if you want to discuss this further, you'll have to catch me first, cause,

Screens, screens, screens
2 x 4K screen + 1 HD + 1x1920*1200
HD is connected to qn HDMI splitter so I have 3 screens zith the same outpu, so I use that for movies and video. There are 2 keyboards, a mouse and a trackball connected.. One pair on my dersk, the other is for my tv setting.
Desktop is XFCE. Seperated screens and no Xinerama either.
Programs I use are liferea, mostly for the RSS feed of the several hundred Youtube channels I folow. Open the tab and click on a script to go to a website. (code is at http://houghi.org/v/?code and written in gvim)
Also XBMC, mutt, gvim, roundcube and all that belongs to it. mpd as music server. For the making and posting of wallpapers I still use Usenet, so several scripts for that. My knowledge stops with Bash, so no real coding.
Geeqee for looking at and sorting of images. But again, the main thing is screen real estate. My last Windows version was 95 and at that moment dual screen was not that easy and multiple desktops was unpossible. I have 5 on each monitor and each has a specific set of programs open.
The major pain I have is with Firefox. I have seperated monitors, screens and desktops and I must have 4 different instances of Firefox running if I want to have them on each screen.
I have two SSD drives where one is a backup of the other. Main data (like movies, pictures and music) is on a 4 port NAS. A second NAS does the backup for that data.

Re:Not just adblock
The interesting part is the following:
how many ads your YouTube account has blocked recentl
Does that mean that if you are not logged in, you will not affected? Because I have not noticed anything. I watch about 50-100 videos per day, but I (almost) never log in.
I just use RSS to be updated about the channels I follow. No need to log in. That said, I watch most videos in a frame. I just link to my website (Source http://houghi.org/yt.php?code) and see no ads with adblock there when watching e.g. http://houghi.org/yt.php?v=BBJ... (Random video) -

Re:But luckily ????
I do not have a need to log in to YouTube as their comenting is terrible. I do not read the comments. In fact I have a bookmark that will point to my website when I am on YouTube (code http://houghi.org/yt.php?code) so I can see only the thing I want to see.
I also have dropped Gmail for gmx.com. For image search I use Bing, as they do not think they must protect me from female nipples.
I obviously block their ad domains and I do not use their DNS servers.
That does not mean they are not getting any data from me, but I try to keep it as little as possible, because I have seen what happens when companies get to big to fail.

Re:But... but?
I just open them in a frame. I do that with all Youtube videos.
e.g. http://houghi.org/yt.php?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
Code I have is availabe through a link in the top left. No age restriction when you use it this way.I have a shortcut that points to http://houghi.org/yt.php?houghi=URL_from_Youtube and turn it into what I want. I use vq=hd1080. You can change and add parameters to whatever you desire on your own website.

Re:Can the writings be read?
There are some rules that don't make a lot of sense, but they are what they are and mostly need to be adhered to in order to ensure that communication can happen.
Dutch has had several changes over the last 100 years. This is to follow the evolution of language.
I do not believe English has had the same done to it. Otherwise you would not end up with something like:
Dearest creature in creation,Study English pronunciation.
I will teach you in my verse
Sounds like corpse, corps, horse, and worse.
I will keep you, Suzy, busy,
Make your head with heat grow dizzy.
Tear in eye, your dress will tear,
So shall I! Oh hear my prayer.Liberty, library, heave and heaven,
Rachel, ache, moustache, eleven.
We say hallowed but allowed,
People, leopard, towed, but vowed.
Mark the differences, moreover,
Between mover, cover, clover;
Leeches, breeches, wise, precise,
Chalice, but police and lice;
Camen, constable, unstable,
Principle, disciple, label. The trest can be read right here. Read it out loud the first time you read it. You will start to wonder what is so adhered in the language.

A live example
Why not put a live example online where people and computers can try this. And just a little test. These are the possible answer:
1. lady with pink bowtie and purple mustache
2. ugly narrow eyed person puckering up for a kiss
3. bees on top fling towards each other, big U in the middle
4. robot on a skateboard like thing
5. square faced guy with big nose and short yellow hair fuzz
6. hulk guy with tiny boxing gloves through the waist
7. The letter H
8. lipstick on a lady who takes steroids
9. linebacker with mustache and yellow nose
10.little birdies facing eachother on the bottom and little bees flying away from eachother on topNow which one is http://houghi.org/Fun/blob.png ?
Please first look at the images on the original site and then look at this one. Do not go back to the original site. Extra points if you put some time in between the 'learning' and the 'verification'. Say an hour, a day, ....Now use a computer and use `identify -verbose http://houghi.org/Fun/blob.png |grep signature` and do that with the originals.
I am sure many people will be able to figure out a program that can link the images. So to me it looks as if there is a serious difference between the images when you are a computer. And this is only one parameter that shows a difference. There is creation date and what not.
So instead of some blobs, they could have use images of things that people can see. e.g. "a linebacker with mustache and yellow nose". The computer does not care what the image says.
Or they could try to be clever and make at least the identify part identical. Then we would have something to talk about.
For now the images make it more difficult for humans, not for computers. (Or did they think to trow off their Windows machines by saving png images as jpg?)

Re:This could be really dangerous!
Sure you can see where it goes, but that does not mean much.
http://s.houghi.org/temp/dbme4p.png
Scan it and it will point to http://s.houghi.org/dbme4p
That is a 302 forwarder to http://localhost/
http://s.houghi.org/dbme4p.png will give all the infoNow imagine that something like this is hanging on highstreet and it is some other (selfmade) forwarder. Even though people are aware that ads are lies, they do somewhat trust that an add for Coca-Cola is placed there by Coca-Cola and the company is responsible for the content.

I only realize it now, but what you are telling is that we have now plenty of food and what is happening is that because of all of the companies doing automatisation we can have more entertainment as well.

Re:Tracking
Tracking commuters has been on the increase with the use of license-plate scaners. When you get them to use a bicycle, that advantage is no longer an option
Bicycles in Belgium used to have had a license plates:

Re:Win 7
XFCE user here. 3 different monitors of different sizes. 2 different video cards. No Xinerama and no seperate X screens, so I can switch workspaces on the other screens individually. Others who would like Xinerama can have that as well. I have connected 4 monitors as well. I can line them up any way I like. e.g. with 4, ---, L, +, T, reversed T. Space in between or connected.
The limit in screens is pure hardware. Adding cards would mean the ability to adding monitors.
I will soon be adding a 4th monitor and am looking at adding another video card and 2 more monitors.Yep, it does not work in KDE or in GNOME how _I_ want it to run in the 5 minutes I tried, because it seems that they both handle things as one big screen (in any order) and I want my separate X sessions. Otherwise that would be working too.
Screen-shot from an older setup. The image is from 2006. Two identical screens there. http://houghi.org/shots/dualscreen.jpgI have been doing multiple screens since around 1998. All with GUI software to make it easy for me and no manual editing of xorg.conf. All in Linux.

Re:Where is the new XFCE iso?
There never WAS an official XFCE ISO. There are several way to get XFCE without installing the rest
1) Download the DVD and do the installation. During installation you select Other instead of KDE/GNOME and select XFCE or LXDE there
2) Do a network install and select XFCE or LXDE just like above
2a) http://www.houghi.org/ssh/install.php and then do the same as above. Basically this is a network install without the iso.
3) Wait for http://susestudio.com/ to have 12.2 available and make your own image. -
Re:Of all the priorities...
Believe it or not, not all of us have ultra-high speed Internet connections.
And if you do, why would you download a DVD? I do the installation with the bare basics. http://houghi.org/ssh/install.php
Basically I download init and linux kernel and install from that (over ssh with GUI if I so desire) and download only those things I actually use.Or turn the network CD into a USB bootable image if there is no previous Linux installed as described on http://en.opensuse.org/Live_USB_stick#Bootable_USB_from_DVD_or_Net-install
Or I make my own on http://susestudio.com/ if I need to install more with specific settings.Doing a network install might even be interesting for those who are limited with their data as you only download what you actually install and not all the rest that you never install.

I use the HappyHacker keyboard and that has a LOT keys less. http://houghi.org/shots/hh.jpg So how come I am able to do the same things that other people are able to do with more keys? (Yes, even the KVM stuff)
KVM? Diamond-O. It's because you have an extra modifier key to hide the buttons, not because you're an amazing "hacker." Laptops have been doing the same thing for years. If we added a few more of those super-special modifier keys, I think we could get the keyboard down to about 35 keys total. How does that sound?

Re:Tabs on the left make sense
I use the extra width to have two programs open next to each other. Adding stuff to the right of my browser would take away that ability. For me it is one of the reasons to went to bigger screens. So I could use the screen real-estate to have two programs open at the same time while both can be used easily without switching.

Re:Drivers are the danger, not the maps
It is not that you need to find it by hand. It is that the traffic signs are the rules you need to follow, not your TomTom. There are idiots who drove into canals, into tram and train tunnels and what not, because their TomTom told them to do so.
If you drive in Arnhem, and TomTom tells you to go right and there is a big river, then you are an idiot for driving into it. That is NOT TomToms fault, it is yours.
If Arnhem changes one-way directions or if there are roads blocked, it is YOU who needs to pay attentions to whatever traffic rules there are. All navigation systems I have used have a 'recalculation' option.Do not blame TomTom for going a bridge to far. (Home this does not count as Godwins Law)
And yes I know and understand the limitations of especially the TomTom AND Google Maps. Just go to your URL, click in "Link" and paste the email link into http://houghi.org/tomtom

Re:Some questions
1) does it force the use of RPM? Some prefer DEB, or even ebuilds.
It is SLE and openSUSE based distro's so yes, you will be best to use RPM.2) potential for HyperVM, Virtualbox, etc images? Would be nice to see them.
You can make USB, ISO, Xen and VMware Virsual Machine images.3) kernels? what about kernels? Can you config your own? How about patches?
This builds the image, not the software. You can point it to any repository you desire, so if you make your own repository with the kernel in it with e.g. https://build.opensuse.org/, you can use it.What it does is 'just' make an image.
Some screenshots I have made here: http://houghi.org/susestudio/Updates and patches will be gotten from openSUSE or Novell or somewhere else if you point it somewhere else.
Just go to http://susestudio.com/ and click on the "Watch a screencast" or go to http://susestudio.com/screencast for two more movies that explain just what and how things work.
