Re:Game theory
So now MS is patenting Game theory. What netx, algebra ?
Ones and zeroes, obviously.
(Incidentally, notice the date -- getting on for twelve years old now, and still appropriate.)

Re:Christ, AGAIN!?
Yes please! I would LOVE to pick up a couple of these sub $100 ARM Netbooks that we keep hearing about, if for no other reason to see if I can sell them to the local college kids who would probably like an ultra long battery web box that does note taking. But we hear these stories over AND over AND over again, but the things just never seem to show up? What is this Duke Nukem Forever?
Please don't get me all hyped up thinking about about profits and then to only find this is another vaporware that will be released "sometime in the future". Hell if we are gonna do the "sometime in the future" I might as well say that sometime in the future I'll have my Alyson Hannigan Sexbot with the Buffy Season 2 Leather Outfit. Of course Alyson Hannigan is a perfect being, on which even the FCC agrees, and therefor replication will take time, but come on! This is a Netbook running a cell phone chip for the love of Pete!

Re:Less than the cost of a single cruise missile.
The Onion reports that the next Modern Warfare game will be an extremely realistic portrayal of the life of a soldier. Worth a watch!

Re:It's different
Driving a car in a videogame and driving a car in real life are very different, but the actual *racing* part is pretty similar. Controlling the car is important, but it's not what wins races. Racing is all about knowing the lines and racing techniques, and a video game can definitely teach you that.
You have vastly overcomplicated what it takes to be a winning race car driver. Source.

Re:Oh God
And Modern Warfare 2 hasn't caused a skyrocket in enlistment
Indeed, I wonder if the more realistic modern warfare 3 will change that ;). -

Ok, Steve Jobs has really gone too far with the minimalist controls this time.

Re:AAA AA A A
I'm confused; my computer doesn't have a key on it, only a wheel and a button!
I tried taking a key out of my pocket and pushing it against the wheel, but that didn't seem to anything but scratch it!

Re:Oh God queue the fucking wingnuts
Of course, when your guy shits on the Constitution, that's "good" and when my guy does it, it's "bad."
This is what it comes down to. You're just a partisan shill hiding behind a thin veneer of lies. Your newfound Constitutional dogma is just an excuse to oppose the party in power. That's not even ideology, it's just a bad joke.
For what it's worth, sides really don't matter to me. I just want to see an accurate presentation of the facts so that people can make informed decisions. But I guess that's something you don't understand.

Drupal is just not ready for the mainstream.

*cough*
I'll agree - Drupal does have a steep learning curve. With regards to theming/styling, though, it's no different than any other CMS. Designers will have to fight cross-browser css compatibility issues with whatever CMS or template engine they're using.

Re:illegal?
That's okay, Ford recently unveiled a concept in the taurus line aimed squarely at all of us facing these troubled economic times.

Not realistic enough
I, on the other hand, don't think it's realistic enough.

Re:Pirates
Yeap and, for that reason, I rarely watch movies, except ones I buy on the cheap (previously viewed at Block Buster mainly), and I haven't had a TV in my house for 10 years now.
I get all the news, entertainment, etc. that I want via the web and by ready fifty plus books a year.
The MPAA, RIAA and cable companies in general, can all pucker up and kiss my ar$e!
Do you know this guy, by any chance?

Re:Comments
It's a modern "Not Necessarily The News".
Not really, the modern "Not Necessarily The News" is The Onion News Network.
Craig Ferguson seems like a better source of news than most "news" shows... -
Re:icing on the cake:
Yeah. Because that's what flag@whitehouse.gov was for. Clearly its stated purpose of trying to help the administration gather information about what misinformation was circulating about its policies was just a smokescreen. It was really the first step in targeting the proles to round up and force into re-education camps.
Back on topic: some bad news, for those who haven't heard. The victim of the car wreck, tragically, was not Glenn Beck.

U.S. Continues Quagmire-Building Effort In Afghanistan
http://www.theonion.com/content/news/u_s_continues_quagmire_building"A number of Pentagon officials said they were proudly holding on to their false glimmer of hope for a victory that remains forever out of reach, and explained that waging a war that can only end in sorrow has validated all their efforts."

The Onion writes itself. It simply reports the truth, with a straight face, and it makes people laugh, as they say to themselves, "How true!"

The bright side
At least there are some robust areas in the declining newspaper market.

Fictionology is the future, not Scientology
As usual, The Onion is way ahead of the curve. They described how Scientology's days were numbered years ago. This is just another sign.

Re:who really won the trial?
It's no worse than Fictionology! Well, maybe it is.
