Your article is from 2001. Try something more recent than win98 for yourself.
Considering that you haven't used anything from "M$" for years, that's kinda throwing rocks in a glass house from you, twitty my dear, but just to humour you: strings run on a copy of ftp.exe taken directly from Windows XP Professional SP2 and then grepped.
Now shut up. -

I think that shows us nicely, how stores have already decided. There are only a few HD-DVD owners left, who still think there is even a format war left to fight.. -

Website that puts tv shows on the web, or something like that. http://www.joost.com/ I recognized the name, Joost, but couldn't remember what it was until I got home and looked them up.

I kept my eye out for Roberto Moreno's car, looking for the penguin, but never could spot it. Too bad about him crashing out so early. -

This search returns a cached link, but when I try to view the cached copy, it's mysteriously no longer there. Anyone know why Google might do this other than the obvious conspiracy theory?

Re:Say what?
Oh, it gets explained further on.
Here's a pic of the explanation:

Claiming that sniffing around the P2P network by a non-legit peer is somehow an action that requires consent... I'm not buying it. Especially not the concept that it's illegal pretexting.
Further, if Ms. Andersen never had Kazaa installed,
how could MediaSentry have trespassed upon her computer?
Or is there some fine legal point which allows one to sue for something that (according to Ms Andersen) could never have happened? -

Well first of all, you can fire the AK47 from the prone position. I think this guy clearly proves it. But, if for some reason this is impossible, you can indeed use the gangsta "Glock Foh-Tay" style.

Re:Downgrade Advisor
It's funny that you should mention this, since Vista includes a new Reliability Monitor that helps you visualize the reliability of your system. It keeps track of the success/failure of installs, application crashes, hardware problems, and Windows crashes.
For example, my computer has not had any serious reliability issues since Vista RTM was installed in mid-January. Furthermore, the application crashes includes programs you write yourself, so developers will have to pay more attention to the details than the chart.
This combined with a few other diagnostic improvements should make it easier to help family and friends that complain of computer problems but can't describe what is happening. -

The IFE had to be rebooted 3 or 4 times during a 5 hour flight, some people's screens never worked at all. Luckly I caught a snapshot of the offensive software's startup screen.

High end GPUs by themselves are gigantic. There's no way they'd be able to put a top fo the line GPU and CPU on the same die. They even said it isn't going to be for high end graphics in this slide.

Regarding the Muslix64 exploit...
I think I have found something that has been somewhat overlooked. I found a thread on AVS forum (which has now been removed, imagine that (and EVEN REMOVED FROM GOOGLE'S CACHE!!!)) which stated that on "The Hulk" HD DVD, or at least some of them, there is a text file, in the clear, on the root of the disk that contains the title and volume keys in the clear. User "Borbus" there even posted part of this file.
Also, in THIS thread at hardforums, on page 3, user "w1retap" states that:
"bwhahaha.. found encryption keys, volume keys, and the MCM managed copy V-ISAN ID. Now I'm just working on hashing the whole HD-DVD.. its taking a while.. lol. After that, I'll try the ripping program for playback off the hard drive. Then, if that works, its off to HDbits."
He also provides a SCREENSHOT which show that there is, in fact a text file there.
After this, the hardforums were down for a full day, and in "w1retap"'s next posts, he states:
"1) I'm not going to speak of title keys on a public forum."
Now I do not have an X-Box HD DVD drive to test, but I bet if someone did, and had "The Hulk" HD DVD that they would find in that text file the very key needed to decrypt that disk. And with that test could verify if the Muslix64 program DOES work. And, if it does, knowing a valid key would make it MUCH easier to find that key in the memory of PowerDVD or WinDVD. I SURE WISH someone out there would test this, all of the evidence is there, even some evidence of a cover-up. The post with the key from avsforum was available yesterday, now it is NOT there or even in Google's cache, as I have said.... -

Re:Too late.
Lol, drinkypoo, you and I are really going at it. I would have posted this earlier but my comment cap had reached its limit.
Here's a screenshot showing you how to do it. No negative margins, completely valid. In fact, the code is quite sleek and sexy. Very simple. And in CSS3, I think there's going to be even more options for doing things like this so the CSS won't have to emulate the behavior of a table cell. I forgot to put in a width attribute for the first div, but doing so won't change anything except for its width. I understand that CSS is not perfect, but you need to remember that it's quite new and is just starting to catch on for use with layout. We will see huge improvements with CSS3 and also much better support in browsers as it gains popularity.
The green div on the right will fill up the remaining space between the red div and the edge of the page, no matter how wide the red div is. Notice in the code how there are no funky margins or padding. The green div starts where the red div ends - no overlapping. If the picture is too small and you don't believe me because you can't tell what's going on in there, say so and I'll take another screenshot.

Re:Ion drive
I downloaded the animated GIF and pulled it into ImageJ (http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/index.html). My intent was to examine the frame immediately after the flare (which was frame 11) for any evidence of lingering heat.
A cropped version of the result is at http://i4.tinypic.com/2corgvq.gif. It shows frames 10-16.
Pretty neat! It looks like it _did_ kick up some dust. -
Re:Calling Bullshit
ok, let's talk about cutting spending.
The 2006 budget for defense was $420 billion. A nice little bar chart to put that in perspective. (notice how the EPA compares, by the way)
Bush is the biggest-spending president in US history. He way outdid Carter and everybody in this respect. -

Re:How about RPG titles?
RPG titles had awesome 2D graphics back in the SNES days, like FF3. How about Chrono Trigger?
I agree, FF3 and Chrono Trigger have excelent graphics. They are a couple of my favorite games. =) ...
I was suprised that neither of those games (or Tales of Phantasia) made the list.
Just in case you've never played it, here's a couple Tales of Phantasia screen shots: http://i6.tinypic.com/14oai2r.png & http://i6.tinypic.com/14oaixu.png
They aren't actually very good shots, but you get the general idea of what it looks like. -
