While it is true that Wikipedia isn't reliable as a source the main problem is that a lot of sources that are considered reliable aren't. Wikipedia is constantly updated. The error in the book you have in your library isn't.

It is not like Wikipedia strives for inaccuracy.

While this is true, sometimes the edits just relate to disinformation... both the spreading or correcting. A good example (and rare good use of twitter) is the "Congressional edits of Wikipedia" account:

Lol, Musk just tweeted that the third burn was "successful", except that they missed mars and ended up with a giant elliptical orbit that goes way into the asteroid belt. Not quite to Ceres, but close.

Not sure I'd call that sort of burn successful, but if the goal was "get way far from earth uncontrollably", I guess that works.

Another poster noted that in a news conference Musk said that they only had 12 hrs of battery on board to transmit with. That seems a little odd to me, as Musk does high-tech battery and solar, and Dragon obviously does space solar. But if that is true, it's dead weight in a semi-perpetual orbit. Not sure how permanent it will be, as the orbit is not what they initially claimed it would be.

Here is a tweet with a view of monitors showing smoke clearing from the drone ship deck with no rocket aboard. It seems it missed the ship. Not too surprising as the centre core is a new machine that has never flown before. Also, the re-entry profile was likely one of the hottest ones they have tried.

Actually, Musk has reported that this one came down intact enough that they are going to actually try and tow it back to shore https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/958847818583584768. They don't normally leave the landing legs on for the rockets they don't want to reuse, but this one was apparently being used for an experimental hard burn, and it looks like they wanted to keep the aerodynamics the same to get better information about that. Given that this one managed to survive, it tentatively suggests that whatever they did differently for this "landing" worked pretty well.
