Re:wtf does baseball have to do with anything?
I take it you're not familiar with the work of Archbishop Don Magic Juan. Chuuch.
"Chuuch" is an exclamation or interjection largely synonymous with "okay". It is used to express assent, agreement, or acceptance.
Unique to a particular branch of African American Vernacular English, it is most commonly heard in the pimp community.
Let's turn to popular culture for more:
Snoop Dogg's thoughts on "Chuuch".
Urbandictionary on "Chuuch". -

Re:work life balance is a myth
And not only that, if you put up with it, you are making the problem worse for the rest of us.
So what are you going to offer me to work less? I don't care that you might in theory have to work a bit harder just because I do. What I care about is not being able to do the things I want to do, which including making more money than if I didn't do that extra work and doing things I would not otherwise get the chance to do.
I have a solution to your problem that doesn't involve any more work on my side. It comes right out of those pvp games with the whiners who complain because people who've learned to play the game, play better. QQ.
If you don't like it, quit. Pretty much what you suggest with the jumping positions. The problem solves itself. I might add that most of the people in my department don't have to work my hours. They have pretty nice jobs and I work hard to make sure it stays that way. -

Re:Not doing it right
What's needed is an abstract number like a disposable e-mail address to start protecting our anonymity. Once it's used to verify if the customer is "sponge-worthy" it disappears and the requester can't use it again.

Re:Not doing it right
Yeah everybody want's your SSN and here's the trick folks, don't give it to them unless you absolutely have to. I'm finding it harder and harder these days to start to trust any companies with sensitive information like this. What's needed is an abstract number like a disposable e-mail address to start protecting our anonymity. Once it's used to verify if the customer is "sponge-worthy" it disappears and the requester can't use it again.
I recently bought a new car at the same dealership where I'd previously purchased another one, about 5 years ago, and when going through all the paperwork found that they had my SSN and other financial data on file from the last time from that transaction. Needless to say I went ballistic and asked a few WTF questions of the management. They agreed that after the transaction was concluded that those details would be erased. I've since filed a complaint with the state attorney general, the state consumer affairs and the feds because none of this was disclosed 5 years ago and I don't know who has seen this data or my SSN.

Re:Please make it a mental one
As long as you're in a caloric deficit, get enough protein (~1g/lb of lean body mass), [...]
It's actually 1 gram per kilogram of (all) body mass. You're recommending about 2 grams per kilogram. (You're quoting "Broscience".) With that amount, you will need to hit the gym almost daily just so that the excess energy you're getting from protein doesn't turn into fat. (Not to mention that you practically need to take supplements to reach 2 grams.)
Wikipedia recommends 0,8-1,0 g/kg for normal folks, 1,2 grams for endurance athletes and 1,4 for weightlifters. And please don't go below 0,7 grams per kg per day (if protein input that low is sustained, your muscles will start to break down).

This reminds me of something one of my friends told me about signing up for facebook in the early days.
He had created an account, and started following a few famous actors and such, then lost interest in it for a while because nobody really used it yet.
Later, when it became popular, he decided to log in again. In his news feed was the strangest stuff being posted by one of the actors he was following.
The profile was called "The Tony Danza". He had thought he was following the profile of the actor at the time, when in reality "The Tony Danza" is a sex move. http://www.urbandictionary.com...

There are plenty of poor people that drive around with phones that are better than yours and cars that are better than yours. You can stick your fingers in your ears and pretend it's some sort of Reagan-Cadillac-Welfare-Queen myth but there's a lot of truth to it. Ever heard the expression "nigger rich"? And there are lots of white middle class people who qualify, with a nice job, a mcmansion, two SUVs, and still living paycheck to paycheck. Or the $30,000 millionaires. There are a lot of people who want a better standard of living than they're capable of and a lot of people with shit money skills. And no amount of money will change that. Consider the ever so common stories of poor people who win the lottery -- literally or figuratively with a record contract, pro sports job, etc -- and are bankrupt and poor 5 years later.

Re:It's not enough
Wrong! Wholly fuck! Absolutely wrong!
Flamebait is not about "saying things to get people pissed off"! Flamebait is about intentionally trolling to insight a response.
Reading a damn dictionary is not that hard, so stop making up your own definitions for words. Further: I realize that people inventing their own definitions tend to be slow so I'll attempt to clarify. An opinion presented may piss you off by nature, because you have a different opinion. I.E. "There is a God" vs. "There is no God". If a person provides their opinion with intentionally inflammatory material, like "You are all burning in hell for not believing." or "Darwin dumbass!" (as is often done) that is trolling and possibly flamebait. A person simply expressing their opinion is not a troll or flame bait. These differences happen often with emotionally topics, such as politics and morality.
See the definition for Flamebait here, and Troll here, and Flame here(2.).
When an opinion is well articulated and not written to be intentionally offensive, such as GP is, it's a different opinion not a Troll. If you don't like their opinion, present your counter points instead of whining and trying to censor by moderation. If you can't write well articulated retort to back your opinion, don't try do moderate people out of discussions. Improve your writing skills and opinion until you can retort.
Even if the opinion is not the "Popular" opinion the goal of moderation is to encourage dialogue, not censor opinions you don't like. If the post is on topic and generates responses (while not being a flame or troll) then the post should be moderated higher.

Re:Knowledge
From my agnostic perspective (your mileage may vary) I consider atheists to be as much creatures of faith as their theistic opponents:
Theism: I believe there is a God, even though I can't prove it scientifically.
Atheism: I believe there is no God, even though I can't prove it scientifically.
Agnosticism: I don't know, I have no proof. -

Both sides are relentlessly comparing each other to Nazi Germany. The Russians claim that Nazi-like fascist radicals led the coup and the Ukrainians claim that the Russians are behaving like Nazi Germany at the outset of World War II. It's like a bad internet argument.
Only that even the BBC now shows that here are indeed Nazi-like fascist radicals in charge now in Ukraine (especially see the two MP from Svoboda showing the numbers 14/88 at 5:00).

Re:Well then
This doesn't make any sense to me either. Current pills containing hydrocodone are a mixture with other drugs, mostly other drugs that have a higher toxicity, and part of the reason for that is to keep people from taking too many of them. If you OD on Vicodin, it's not the 5mg of hydrocodone that kills you, it's the 500mg of acetaminophen. For a 50kg person, you can get to a reasonably toxic quantity of acetaminophen (200 mg/kg) with 20 vicodin, which gives you a dose of 100mg of hydrocodone, or 2 mg/kg. Quick googling found this: http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-... that gives animal toxicity studies showing an LD50 for hydrocodone in the range of 86 mg/kg (mice) to 375 mg/kg (rats). Granted, you certainly don't want to take anything *near* to the LD50 of any drug, but the highest dosage for a Zohydro pill is 50 mg. For a 50kg person to get a dose of 1/4 the mouse LD50 would be over 20 pills. As noted, if those 20 pills were vicodin, then they would also be toxic, but only because of the acetaminophen. And really, if you're downing 20 of *any* prescription painkiller, you almost certainly have a different goal in mind than temporary pain relief. I just really don't see this as causing much harm, and potentially helping a fairly specific set of people who need it.
People who are intent on abusing pills can get around the acetaminophen simply by breaking the pills up, putting them in cold water, and running them through a coffee filter. This is known as cold water extraction.
Part of the reason for the acetaminophen in painkillers is because of a loophole in the 1970 Controlled Substances Act that classified pure Hydrocodone as a strictly controlled Schedule II drug (Which Zohydro will fall under). However, Hydrocodone combination products, such as Vicodin, which contains Hydrocodone and acetaminophen, into the less strict Schedule III classification. As a Schedule III drug, combination drugs such as Vicodin can be refilled as many as five times, while Schedule II drugs can be filled only once.
So why is there so much pushback against Zohydro, when it clearly fits a need and will be more difficult to obtain and abuse than Vicodin? I think it might have to do with the fact that it's put out by a tiny company (Zogenix) rather than one of the big players. Teva Pharmaceuticals who literally spent millions on lobbying last year has a competing product "TD Hydrocodone" which they're trying to get to market, but Zogenix beat them to it. If Zohydro were delayed for a little while, perhaps they could get to market with their competing drug and given their vastly larger resources they'd likely win market share. Another large company Purdue Pharma (the makers of OxyContin) also have something in the works -

Dear NIssan,
One word will explain why the LEAF is not popular:
This!
The tesla is probably not taking leaf customers away. it's not really in the same class. However, if you compare the cars to other cars in their price range, you see the difference. The model s has all the bells and whistles you'd expect form an $80k sport sedan. It's a damn fine looking car compared to the bmws and lexuses out there. the leaf looks like one of the ugliest cheapo hatchbacks out there, but it costs twice as much as any of those. You never hear about the good cops, except on slow news days.
Unfortunately, my life has led me to a point where I can never trust a cop or have love for law enforcement. I've met good cops, guys who truly believe they can do good with their badge and who often choose not to enforce laws they see as unnecessary (which, unfortunately, is a problem in and of itself). Bless them for trying to do good in society while so many are either apathetic or downright evil.
But, in the end, FTP because ACAB and 911 is a Joke. And I feel like more members of each new generation feel this way than the last, and I hope the powers that be understand they are on a collision course with historical truths, IE, what is outlined in the preamble to the Declaration of Independence or the opening words of Fighting For Our Lives.
I don't think I want to be in the western world when it collapses. I think we are such a violent bunch that even I might not survive, and I've spent years homeless, did time in Iraq, and so forth. I still don't have faith I'd be able to guide my family through the chaos of a societal meltdown in a culture which is so coddled and takes so much for granted. I think we need to GTFO here and definitely within the next ten years. -

Reality bites.
I would make a case for entrapment.
If you step into a trap willingly, it ain't entrapment.
Still, law enforcement is breaking the law when they create crimes to arrest people for.
This is beyond stupid.
The elements of the crime of money laundering are set forth in the United Nations Convention Against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and Convention against Transnational Organized Crime. [2000] It is defined as knowingly engaging in a financial transaction with the proceeds of a crime for the purpose of concealing or disguising the illicit origin of the property from governments.
Criminalizing money laundering
Money laundering has been practiced for over 6000 years, but the term itself comes from the prohibition era of American history.
unless they're going to make private money transactions illegal, this case doesn't really mean anything for the bigger picture
[Cash for legal purposes is defined as any] transaction in which the recipient knows the payer is trying to avoid the reporting of the transaction on Form 8300.

Re:Sad
Intelligent design and creationism are two very different things. ID revolves around there being no natural way to explain the origins of life. There is no natural way to create proteins, DNA, and RNA with life being present. The problem is that the amino acids that are required must be in a solution with 95% left handed amino acids to form. When amino acids are created both left and right are present there is currently no know way to naturally filter them. Further percentages of left handed amino acids higher then 60 have not been observed in nature. With our current knowledge it is more likely that an intelligent creator or a "seed" from a living organism on a different planet started life as opposed to spontaneous generation.
Except that everything you said is wrong. Nice end-run at the Gish Gallop.

Re:Very funny.
Brain Fact: "A thought that you believe to be true. The "facts" are completely fabricated and are supported by zero empirical evidence whatsoever. The only qualifier is that you believe the fact to be true."
Conspiracy theoryism arises where brain facts collide with a failure to identify scenarios which are consistent with reality (whether that is due to genuine mental disorder, having never been taught how, or laziness).
