As a European, I learned about Glenn Beck from Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. These videos were made when Beck had undergone "ass surgery".

I actually saw a video the other day with Obama giving a speech when he was a US Senator. This isn't the same video I saw the other day. In the speech he clearly tells his story of how lucky he is to be a Kenyan born US American. So according to President Obama himself, he has committed fraud and does not legally qualify for the position he now holds. Again, that's from Obama himself. Obviously at the time, he had never considered running of presidency, else he wouldn't have made such a comment on video.

This is not the video I originally saw either. I looked quickly but couldn't find it. In the original video, it looks like he's giving a town hall speech and he's surrounded by the audience, like the first video up top. In that video, he squarely states he's Kenyan born and how wonderful American is that he's able to have reached his position.

Bluntly, Obama is a liar and has committed a huge fraud against America.

Anyone who thinks Obama qualifies for Presidency has been duped. Obama does not qualify for the position of US President - according to Obama himself! Seriously, Obama himself says he's a Kenyan and seems to have a hard time remembering his own lies.

I think its sad that American's first black president doesn't qualify and has dishonored the title President. Likely its not been dishonored as such since Nixon was in office.

Looks alot like a V-1 or Loon but with hard points on the wings and turbojet instead of pulse jet. So late 50s technology designed with CAD. Probably a 30-40% failure rate on them too, that's standard for first or second generation cruise missiles/drones.

That's why ancient buildings are always made of huge stone blocks, before Jesus gravity was unreliable so buildings needed more inertia. Same thing with animals, that's why dinosaurs were so big. Unfortunately there weren't big enough and were all sent hurltling off in to space 70mya during a particularly long gravity outage. Last Thursday's Daily Show had Stewart, completely in character, run through an entire segment, touching off every element of Glenn Beck's "argument" "method", nearly without warning, getting more and more irrational as the segment went on, breaking into hilariously fake crying, and making wild accusations against Beck's own appendix for causing him (Beck) so much grief and pain, linking it to a grand liberal socialist communist left-wing conspiracy that, of course, it's odd that only he was questioning.

Hilarious stuff. Wish I had a link to it handy...

Basically, Glenn Beck is on Fox News as one of the many opinion guys they have. He throws out wild accusations but gets away with it by saying "I'm not saying it's true, but isn't it odd that I'm the only one asking these questions?" He's done so many crazy things (comparing Jesus to Hitler back when he was on CNN, for example). He's so batshit crazy that he makes Bill O'Reilly appear to be a sensible man. It's absolutely terrifying, moreso when you realize how many people religiously watch his show and consider it to be 100% fact.

The controversy is just someone parodying him by making a wild accusation and then covering it with a batshit crazy question.

The loan IS an asset - it's an IOU from the borrower (who pays interest).

The bank DID have $101 of assets, BUT YOU DIDN'T INCLUDE THE MONEY THAT WAS USED TO MAKE THE LOAN. When the bank made the loan to my friend, $100 LEFT THE BANK, and the bank no longer has the $100.

The correct picture of the bank's balance sheet is $101 - $100 = $1. Which is what they started with. Money was not created when making the loan.

No, they weren't. The bank gave $100 to the borrower, and that money LEFT THE BANK. Where did the bank get the $100 that they lent to my friend? Before making the loan, that $100 had to enter the bank.

Either the bank had the $100 on hand to start with BEFORE MAKING THE LOAN, or the bank borrowed the $100 from someone else (a private investor or the government) BEFORE MAKING THE LOAN.

The only time money is created is by government through the mint's printing press (or its electronic equivalent). Sometimes government goes overboard with creating money leading to devaluation of the currency, but that is a different story.

Yes, I've seen it before, but cute animations & music doesn't change the fact that it's completely wrong.

Look, there are many financial problems in the world, but fractional reserve banking isn't one of them. Many countries with sane banking regulations & bank capital requirements (like Canada) have no wobbly banks.

In any closed system, this is unsustainable. It is the functional equivalent of Ponzi and check kiting - on the macro-economic scale.
