We managed to keep our labs up during this debacle but the staff and the profs were hit pretty bad. Apparently UVU had to close down all of their labs. The funny thing is that just few days before, our windows guys were talking about finding an alternate solution to McAfee. This pretty much made their minds up for them.
As of around September of last year, Qwest started offering fiber connections in Sandy. My father in law has been looking at getting it. It's also available up here in Bountiful and throughout much of Salt Lake City.
Newegg has some of the best customer service going. The guys and gals on the live chat are always polite and helpful. And as cheesey as it may be I actually get a kick from them telling me to have an eggstraodinary (sp?) day.
What are you talking about? I'm a legal immigrant in the US and aside from the vote issue (which should not stop you from being politically active) I have all the same constitutional rights as a person born here.
I am interested in knowing which specific rights you don't have?
Muslim nations have been introducing similar resolutions since 1999, arguing that Islam-the only religion specifically cited in the text-must be shielded from unfair associations with terrorism and human rights abuses.
Maybe you could get your religions members to stop blowing shit up? Just a thought.
I know it is only a very very small subset of muslims doing that. However by trying to enforce this legislation they show an unwillingness to actually deal with the problem of the extremists. Remember ""All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke) .
And frankly, I'm sick of all the darkness in present science fiction. Science is advancing more all the time and if there was ever a time for optimism based on a scientific society, NOW is it.
Well said. This was one of Gene's original themes in TOS. He created it with the idea that maybe, just maybe, we as a species were going to make it. Star Trek was always at it's best when it had a message (which Voyager tried to rehash but just came off as preachy).
You have your hand up what?
Glenn Beck fans (flame on)
Check out the Hearts of Steel series
How about: "The passing fad formerly known as the internet"
Depends on how you define "problem"
You weren't at our last office party.

Wow that humor stuff makes a great whoooshing sound as it flies over doesn't it.

I happen to live in Utah you insensitive clod....
Actually this is about average for a PhD. I have seen so many lose several years worth of work because their HDD dies and they never backed up.

Really? This has got to be the dumbest, most pointless story (and I use the term lightly) I have ever read on here.
Do we really have to wait that long for facebook games to implode?
In my experience, politicians are a lot more likely to seek out expert advice in an area contributing to their campaign than techie are.
Fixed that for you.
I don't even read the comments. I just scroll to the bottom to check out witty quotation.

I see they have adopted the US form of population control.
"Give them cheap food and cheaper entertainment and you'll be able to do whatever you want."
Isn't this like asking if your diet has something to do with what you eat?
Not if he wants to keep looking at other women he doesn't.
Thanks I'd love an omelette right about now

Great now I have pretzel and spit all over my monitor.
