really? Okay, first someone that steals a laptop off someone's car roof isn't a professional laptop thief. Those people are at the airport. Second, there might be data on there for banking and credit cards and stuff or blackmail or more downloaded porn lol. And thirdly, you never know how many activations of XP are left and most laptops these days need a screwy, dumbed down restore disk and the license key literally won't work with a standard install disk. I heard Dell is at least like that.

a nose is just a limited, selective set of chemoreceptors or whatever. So instead of trying to produce similar ones, just take two of those "everything sensing" plates that they said can identify any type of matter and stick em inside a silicone nose and call it a nose. It'd work better than trying to replicate the way organic ones work.

So if that's all they did, I like the features that do work in Vista. If they add back the stuff they purposely removed like recording off the stereo mixer interally on the sound card and ohhhh maybe let me play movies properly and make it stop crashing, I'd buy it. Actually I really wouldn't cuz I run a ton of old apps but it's the thought that counts. Of course I should say that if all they did was make it look a little different and apparently removed features (as heard on slashdot) and still left all the ridiculous crap in it, then it's is OVER FOR MICROSOFT! They better start making clothes or something cuz they're done with computers then.

It's keeping info from people who want to use it for legal purposes and that's just wrong. But, if they're looking up how to throw knives cuz they want to rob a bank or start throwing them at random people cuz they're psycho then they should be blocked from it, shouldn't they? And why attach it to a part that's waaaaaay harder to upgrade and usually either requires a reactivation or reinstalled of your OS? And how much harder would graphics hardware driver updates be? And would it overheat laptops a hell of a lot faster by putting more heat in one location? (spoiler alert: yes) And where would the VGA/DVI output go if there's no graphics card? If you put it somewhere else then why move the graphics processor further away from the outputs? These are all questions that pretty much make his ridiculous idea incorrect. You don't have to decrypt it or even know what it is you're beaming over, just broadcast exactly what the original one did and it thinks you're that one as long as it doesn't change every time.
