3D _HAS NOT YET_ translated easily to small dimensions. I imagine the psp will have games that fix this problem. This is more of a matter of game design then screen size.

PSP will cost several hundred dollars when it is first released. But wait till that pricedrop to 150$, and people will start gobbling it up.

My star wars fandom is old, dead, and buried. I thank mediocre writing, cliched storylines, and blantant consumerism. It just sucks now.

Frankly, after they cancelled sam and max 2, and fired their most brilliant set of (non-starwars) creative staff, I see no reason to buy a lucasarts game ever again. There was a very high artistic merit in the earlier lucasarts adventure games. I feel like this is lost in the constant re-hashing of starwars titles.

These days, the entire star wars universe seem to only be about milking the consumer.

Hell, they wont even sell me the stuff they own that I _want_ to buy! (read: friggin SE-only original trilogy starwars dvds) Im going to be forced to buy a bootleg, thanks to them.

"Actually I left out another part of what has killed arcades, online gaming over the internet"

    Wrong.

People give online gaming far FAR too much credit. The vast majority of people who play videogames do not do so online; Either through PC or consoles. They play at home, or if they want to play multiplayer, with friends. Not online.

The only arcade I ever go to anymore is Dave and Busters. Thats for Mo-Cap boxing, police 911, and some other VR~ish games. And Beer. Lots of beer.

Not only that, but the copying and distribution itself is inevitable.

People who support IP are, bascially, fighting a battle that they will eventually lose, unless they impose some incredibly draconic control rules against people and the internet.

It took me a long, long time to realize this. Now, I dont do very much bootlegging/downloading myself (not even mp3s). I consider my purchases of media to be "supporting" the artists who create the works I enjoy. It is unfortunate that many of the companies have made my argument for purchases moot, as they dont really pay the artists a percentage of sales :(

Come to your own conclusion on this, but realize that anything short of a massive big borther campaign will fail to stop the unauthorized distribution of IP.
