Well yeah I suppose you could argue that if one is sold then yes it is selling. Its not the brand that is selling it though; its the fanboys and you damn well know that. Every company has its mindless drones, I didn't realize I had to point that out to you. The public at large doesn't care about it one bit though, which is the point. The "no good games" is pretty subjective too though I personally agree some people don't, which might explain why a few of them have been dusted off and actually purchised.

  4. Ahh the Sony marketdroids attack on Manhunt 2 Confirmed for Wii · · Score: 1

Some of the comments on here really have me wondering if Sony has hired some Cowards to write anti-Wii comment. There are no Wii on the shelf (unlike PS3 and obviously 360). In About 3 months the Wii has sold almost half as many as the 360 (4.5mil vs 10.5 mil) and is blowing the PS3 away which is sitting at about 2mil at best. This means that the Wii is becoming a more and more viable system for developers. Couple that with the low cost of creating games and I would say Wii games are probably already as cost effective as a 360 game and this is only going to get better as they start to get stocked in more quantity. Check nexgenwars.com if you don't believe me.

I could not agree more. I love them both but they are pretty much polar opposites when it comes to what they are going for. RE4 is my favorite game but its much more about action while Silent Hill is really more about being damn freaking creepy. The older REs were scarier but nothing like SH.

The launch titles were known awhile before launch and Sony/Fanboys still expected it to be huge. They said Blu-Ray would sell it, or the brand, or the best graphics (which hasn't yet happened). So you point is really not valid. We knew everything there was to know about the PS3 quite a long time ago and it just didn't pan out the way that these bozos thought it would for such painfully obvious reasons.

  10. My how times have changed. on Wii Outsells PS3, Blue-ray Outsells HD DVD · · Score: 1

One thing that really makes me chuckle is how PS3 supporters have changed their line in the last few months from "Sony will sell not matter what. Look at the PS2 they have the brand that people go to for gaming." Now that the sky has started to fall they have changed their tune "Oh well of course the PS3 will sell slower because its more expensive." This is what everybody has been saying the whole time! The brand is not enough to sell a machine that is way out of most peoples budget- atleast for a gaming system. And yes I know the battle has just begun but if they don't start to reevaluate their competition I see Sony as the Nintendo of the last gen.

I def. know what you are talking about. I think NS8 showed a detachment from the customer that led it to be a major dud. It felt like it was created by commitee and one composed of people who had little clue on how to handle a browser. On the other hand the Netscape Devs. who made the few previous versions may have deserved a pink slip. AOL needs to put really energy into the product, integrate NS with its client software, or just get out of the biz. My hope is that by bringing it inhouse again that perhaps they are starting to understand that reliance on IE and the death of an expensive brand are not the right path. I just hope NS9 is good and that it isn't too late.

  13. What about Myth I & II? on The Most Important Multiplayer Games Ever · · Score: 1

I was really surprised not to see alot of popular games (Doom + UT) but one that really should be on there is Myth the Fallen Lords and its Sequel- both from Bungie before they went to the darkside. Even after 10 years these games have a strong mod and online play community at marius.net and playmyth.com. These games are still amazing to this day and really converted me to a PC/Mac gamer (till recently). Overall a pretty lame list if you ask me.

  15. Nice to see they might finally "get it" on Netscape 9 to Undo Netscape 8 Mistakes? · · Score: 1

I'm pretty dissapointed in the overall negativity aimed at this new release. Granted the last few Netscapes have been pretty poor. Heck going Windows only pretty much was the last straw for me (as an OS X user). Still I think the more interest generated by ANY Gecko power browser will help all us non-IE users. Netscape still has a name to the masses. If they can create something that is decent and stable with features the average joe wants, heck they might even get a few share points. On another note I'm glad to see the project back on-site. The crew who handled NS 8 clearly had no clue how to make something that people actually wanted to use. Atleast now there will be accountability which generally leads to a better product. I'm not sure if NS9 will be good, ok or terrible, but I wish they the best and hope that they can further diversify the web.

The multiplayer was also incredible and very Halo-like. What made the game great was the humor in the cut scenes and the length of the playtime. Maybe this is an obvious poor choice to change focus. If so present data as to why that is so, instead of simply complaining as if somehow NASA is getting less dough, or cheating us in some way. Why shouldn't we more boldy explore? I'm quite open to a change of heart.
