This is Slashdot and it's unreasonable of people to criticise you for not watching the TFV. They're obviously still on web 1.0 and obsessed with not reading TFA without extending standard/. protocols to FVs.
I'm on part 3 and it seems to be going the same way as TPM. It started well with a good pace and a plot that expounds some interesting details. Shame as he was onto something pretty good at the beginning but by the middle of part 3 I kept saying, "Well, I can't really agree with that". For example, it doesn't seem implausible, in story terms, that a corrupt trade regulation body would be carrying out an embargo for self serving reasons.
It's a shame that he couldn't have taken his own advice and edited out some of his crappier ideas.
Yeah, I was disappointed that Ep1 was a kids movie too. Most adults who grew up with the original trilogy were. But it could have been much worse and it does expand the SW universe with some interesting new details.
Maybe a feminist group could put together a clever strategy to help people like this female student. Next time a MAN gets a reprimand for making a statement that "upset and frightened" a colleague or an ex, they could all rally round him and offer their support for his expression of anger in the form of an off-hand comment.

It's quite impressive when you look at how smoothly animated the complex 3d is compared to the home computers that were available even five years later. However, I suspect that the vector display works as a kind of acceleration for the line drawing. The computer only has to send the vertices to the monitor rather than calculating and then drawing all of the points on along the entire line.
I hear that you can get them in order to encourage you to good things, these days. I need all the encouragement I can get, so I think I should be awarded one.

If the 3D effect was good, it wouldn't bother me. I'm up at night quite a lot and I've grown used to putting on headphones to watch a movie or play a game.
