Even if the small fans could push a good volume of air, I think that most noise comes from the air moving over the heatsink. I have some fans that are silent when running out in the open, but put them to the heatsink and the air moving through the fins causes most of the noise. That's why I switched to watercooling; it is so much quieter. --------
This is a real player video of a staged wrestling match between my former calculus professor, and my former discrete math professor from spring 2000. For this reason, they had to be great teachers, and that they were.
The junk mail is paid for in my fees, and in the price of my software.
yea, but the money goes into the post office system, and they will be less inclined to raise rates! It all works out in the end. --------

Ok, so books are open.
1. Can somebody actually read 150-1000 pages of text off a computer monitor without going blind?
2. Printing will cost more than just buying it.
For me, I perfer a hard copy to take with me in my pocket or what not. --------
Now you see why I do poorly in my math courses... I know the material and so more than 50% of the points that I lose are a result of simple math mistakes. (really)
--------
Seriously. My roomate is quoted as saying, "A girlfriend is like two eighteen unit courses."
That translates to 36 units, or 36 hours per week, or just under 4 hours per day for the 7 day week. (I did all that math without a calculator:) )

Chinese martial arts films have been gravity defying pieces of action for a long time, even before the Matrix or Jackie Chan. The only difference is that the movies never made their way to the US until now, when Hollywood doesn't seem to be able to produce any truly awesome movies.
--------
With PCs sporting 450W power supplies these days, containing as many as five fans, and having video cards that get hot to the touch, turning the whole thing off is a good idea.
5 fans are nothing. What about those of us using water cooling and peltiers? Perhaps it is a frivolous use of electricity, but it is a hobby. But so is auto racing, and that burns resources like nobody's business.
We all have something that we like, and may sacrifice a little to keep us happy.
Now Christmas lights... those are a waste!:)

I have been informed by my roomate that the AP test is somewhat geared toward theory. For example, you are coding on paper, so you aren't expected to be perfect. As long as the reader gets the idea you are trying to convey, a semicolon won't kill you.
He said that he went into the exam having never coded a Tree on a machine before, yet was able to write how it would be done (searches and what not).

Keep in mind the current state of society. We have those stereotypical fat teenagers that sit on the couch all day and play video games. There is the demand... Also, people are making more money and so it is not uncommon to own multiple systems. Here on campus finals started today and there are people playing DreamCast as I type this. Keep in mind the PlayStation and N64 in the same room are sitting idle...
From what I see here on campus where it isn't required, doing other homework, chatting, and games. People IM me to say they are in class and bored...
Also most places that have laptop type campuses have wireless so connections aren't a hassle.
Don't they see that with the limited DNA there has been created a genetic bottleneck where only certain traits are possible? The end result is like forever inbreeding: rampant disease and disfigurement.
I would pay like a dollar to be promised a high bandwidth download with the song in perfect condition instead of doing time consuming search with half the results only partial songs, or songs with skips or any other deformalitys in them.
First the bomb and now a supercomputer! Looks like India is on the "to watch" list of the next few years. What are they going to name their version of linux? I think China's RedFlag Linux is pretty cool sounding!
So does that mean that the Windows 99 stock will rise on the Russian market because they think it is the Mircosoft product? I mean, if people will vote for Napoleon even after he is dead, people might invest in Windows!
Dude, that was what i thought at first. I also thought long and hard about the stoning also. You can get some pretty funny mental images off this. Howabout Vendetta II: Children turn on Santa:)
You have to look at it from a mental prespective. Say it is fun only the first time to cheat. THen you do it just once more to show your friends. If everybody that could did it, the opponents couldn't tell. Basically, it isn't fun to ALWAYS do it, but once a while, when you are down, it is fun for you. THen everyone else, unsuspecting, is at a disadvantage.

If adding an apt doesn't work, use a new letter for your middle initial. That also can be used to track name sales.

If you get, say, three credit card applications in a day, send two back to the third company. Keeps them guessing :D

I guess I'm going to have to "opt-out" of ebay entirely also.

Ok, it was me. I was hoping it would fall on somebody, but we glued it in too tightly.. bah humbug

It is a good thing my High School doesn't offer programming classes or we would be screwed :)
