So, that makes Gentoo like a home cooked meal -- you cook it yourself.
Home cooking is better than someone elses, so Gentoo should be the best (hmm...).
I saw this more as a way against someone like me going around to my cousin's house and plugging my ipod in and using the add-manually setting to add her music to my ipod. With this tech my ipod would be rendered useless after the charge dies. So is it about the stolen ipod that was ripped out of your pocket or is it about the stolen music from your friends library?
I just can't wait till I can donate my body to alcohol production and be able to power some sort of engine all by myself. Another use for dead bodies other than burying/cremating? Let's just wait till they do have some animal body/fat to ethanol conversion thing;) -- oo more use for those that had the lipo!
I wonder how many people downloaded it for their Linux boxes just to test it on wine... finding out that it doesn't work (some wine error about C++).
I have 3 out of the 4 main browser engines on my ubuntu box (firefox, konqueror, opera). This is because I like to make some webdesigns.. mostly crap, meh.
I was told by a friend, that using an input of CSS { display: none; } would do something... I can reason the possible success with why would the bot need to read style? Now this hidden input is designed to stay empty, so if it's been added to (the name="name") then it cancels that form submission.
Also, I have a hidden input which checks whether the user has an ip... because one bot I have found doesn't send their IP adress... so it cancels the form if user has no IP...
I have no idea whether they work.. just wondered:P
In NZ we have old no greater than 7.6mbps broadband (yet they don't say it's 7.6 they say "Maximum as fast as your line allows").
Starting price is like $30/month for "Maximum as fast as your line allows" download/128kbps upload at 200mb monthly data (with caps/speed throttles).
And we're in the midst of unbundling the Telecom NZ owned copper wires so hopefully we'll get something more like >8mbps.
Or even Windows 2000 if you're like me and prefer that over XP and Vista. Although I use Ubuntu, and have never had XP or Vista on any of my own computers, but my mum and *other* relations have XP, Vista. My brother also uses Ubuntu -- Hooray! Two intelligent people out of what? 12... Atleast my cousin is also thinking of ditching XP from her laptop for Ubuntu... Oh this will probably be modded low if it is still being moderated for going into stupid off-topic places but meh:P
Sweden doesn't have fjords, they've got smørgossbord... hahaha i read this as smorgasbord... a buffet full of All You Can Download movies, music, etc...
But that was an accident when I was learning how to use the mail function in php.. using my Ubuntu desktop with LAMP. Oh the sexness of the 183 emails from "jason@iam5o1" to my gmail... and they kept coming for 2 days (while gmail processed?).
This might be against privacy laws and/or privacy policies. This will make it hard for ISPs to actually do anything. I do suppose they can monitor the traffic through their system and determine spam and kill it.
Apple is negative. With all their iPhone and software lock ups.
They're pretty much as evil as Microsoft.
is it Google or GNOogle?
Will turning the screen off hide the ads?
Eye strain might be something now... :S

That's because you are a bunch of peasants better suited to driving tractors
:)
I'm sorry, you're mistaken for New Zealand, where I live -- plenty of farmers driving tractors down here, even on the motorways
I suppose that this is the reason why they are not siding with MS so much: Ballmer was yelling at them :P
I think that they should do the same to Google ... just because Fair Is Fair!
no, it runs on petrol and bio-desiel, and a dangerous mix of methylated spirits and tabacco. Exactly what the iPhone needs to make it sexy!!
question is, do lawyers read slashdot?

Well I hope that I catch some then :)

Microsoft also says that Linux/FOSS infringes on their patents ... But I still don't believe it's true.
