what about people like me who fit fine in a seat yet weigh 300lbs? I work out a lot and have gained a lot of muscle mass. I do pay a penalty for being some form of healthy?
I think patents don't stifle competition so much as they stifle innovation. If patents were issued for shorter terms or if holders do not come to market by a certain time then the patent should be lost and the information opened to promote innovation upon that technology. And again patent terms should be shorter after coming to market. Enough time to make money and not hold up innovation. Time is key. The time frame now is better suited to 100 years ago when technology took a lot of time and effort to bring to market. Now due to fast communications, production and distribution it should be expected that tech needs to come to market faster.
the last bike Lance Armstrong used in the Cali tour was only like $11k! Man if I had a bike that light I would have so much fun. Also if you ride all the time you can get pretty fast on a bike and not waste energy on batteries and a motor. I can chill at 20-25mph. If I'm pushing it I can hit 32+ on flat ground. Thats pretty good speed in a city area. Though most people will be rolling at like 12-15mph. Also we don't need to manufacture more batteries if we don't need to! They aren't the cleanest things to make.
Those pesky Fixster gangs. If you ride a road bike you can just outrun them. At some point all the alcohol and tobacco they ingest will catch up to them. Oh, and you have gears.
Oh also, you know how in America we tell people its good to buy American products? Well in other countries they don't tell each other to buy American products like we do! In Japan they would be more likely to buy a Japanese product over American.
Yea, back in the days when laptops started coming out, just before the point where standardization was possible, manufacturers looked at the PC market and the way standardization effected everything and decided that control was better. So there was intentionally no standardization. It costs way more to bring non standard products to market and keeps all companies separate but they can increase price much higher than if the parts were standard.
The benefit of the non standardization is that smaller and lighter designs can be brought forth that might not fit in a standards system. Desktops haven't changed in size too much until micro atx came out but 10 different size formats wouldn't be a possibility.
To add to the lack of use of nuclear weapons in Iran. There is no documented evidence of weapons grade nuclear devices in development in Iran. Everything thus far was to attempt to build nuclear power plants. Israel has even bombed, via air strike, Iranian nuclear power plant construction projects. But no one here (stateside) is allowed to speak ill of Israel.
so you are saying that 1) people generally dont know what guilt looks like and 2) the current interpretation of "acting guilty" is designed to incriminate the innocent?
hah. Or I could eat him, could use the protein.

so crazy religious extreme conservatives probably were dropped on their head as a baby?
Is that a Castlevania analogy?
except with this you can expect the restarts, in ME you knew it might happen but you always believed it wouldnt!

Babies can't go vegan so why should I?
