I'm in the market for a dedicated server or virtual private server, but I don't want to deal with any of the backend stuff, I just want to be able to run my site reliably. I've looked at Media Temple, but I've heard mixed reviews for them as of late. Dreamhost is another possiblity. Some of the sites mentioned in this thread seem interesting but might require more backend work than I'm comfortable with. Any recommendations?
What do you mean by "support Drupal?" Dreamhost offers Drupal as a one-click install, which means for the most part they handle all the upgrades/security patches/etc. It also means you can't do as much tweaking as if you install it yourself.
...will be broadcasting today's Manchester United vs. Arsenal match in 3D, which I believe will be the first live 3D sports broadcast in Europe (though it's only being piped in to nine pubs in the UK).
ESPN will launch a 3D network in June, though content will be limited.
Holy shit that thing took at least a minute to boot, and that video has a cut in it which means it was over a minute...could have been five minutes for all we know. Not acceptable for a portable device.
Obama HAS created new super-powerful positions, for example the new "Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change," aka the Environment Czar, to which he appointed Al Gore buddy Carol Browner. Never in White House history have cabinet members reported to a czar, but today the Secretaries of Energy and Interior, and the EPA Administrator don't report to the President but to a private citizen who has never been vetted by the Senate.
Maybe the last. Countries facing potential unrest will see this incident as a warning, and they'll have their fingers on the BLOCK ACCESS TO TWITTER button at the first sign of an uprising.
According to a recent poll of Wellesley College students, Computer Science majors have the fourth LOWEST virginity rate! Either the linked study is right, or CS's have become better liars.

The shuttle is set to take an unusual course nearly parallel with the east coast for this mission, which will be visible to nearly everyone from Florida to New York. The weather is a bit cloudy today, but should be perfectly clear Thursday night.
Online gambling = illegal
Trading intangible nonsense under the guise of a "commodity exchange" = cool!

...when your boss starts asking to personally take samples of your reproductive DNA. Until then, there's nothing to be upset about.
Probably not. 3D cams and production are still very expensive.

Google isn't the only site that displays news on stock charts this way, and I don't think they were the first.
Examples:
SmartMoney
MarketWatch
I've heard Amazon does not pay particularly well. But I'd be willing to look at an offer if they'd like to prove me wrong. :-)
Wasn't expecting to read a 1970s Bill Cosby joke on /. today.

And in related news, Hummer will join the Formula 1 circuit next season.
There are already games that let you do that. They're called NYSE, NASDAQ and FOREX.
The Mars Phoenix Lander mission had its own blog, not sure if it was the first, though. Herschel may be the first telescope to have a blog.
It'll be time to worry when they can't get financing for anything whatsoever.
La Jolla has much nicer weather than SF, though probably fewer wi-fi hotspots.

Paris tried this. It failed: everyone kept the bikes.
Does it have swine flu on it?
Their aggressive use of drop shadow in the banner on top of their page surely strikes fear into the heart of any postal thief.
NASA does have an awful big operation in Florida, after all.

They have about $6 billion in cash on hand. I think they'll be alright.
Really? Their biggest annual profit in the past 10 years was $841 million. In 2008 they posted a loss of $581 million.
