I second to that. You cannot check out the real product in-store is a big minus to online-store. And people who buy their stuff online take advantage of BB. I think in the future, Online store should open some "retail" store to "display" product. That way, it's a more fair game. You can go to those "display" store, check out the product. Then purchase online, and they will ship the product to you in 2-3 days. Therefore all the "display" store is a lot smaller, and it could use the rest of the "inventory" space as "display" and be able to display even more variety of products. It's like hybrid model, I would say.

  16. New Payment Method on iPhone App Pricing Limits Developers · · Score: 1

I read the article about low price of killer app. I think Apple should come up with additional payment method. Now iPhone App still sell as a "product", there's no "service" App yet. But I think people might not like the idea of "service" app. Therefore I think, we should find the middle ground, call it "lease", you pay a small amount and get a full functional program. Every day you use it, App store deduct a small amount from your account. User should be able to choose the amount range from 1 cent a day to $10 a day. So if the user would like to keep the app, they continue to use it and pay the "lease" amount, until the "lease" has been match the "product" price. There might be some interest involve. So people can test full functional software without paying the premium in front. And developer can still get their portion of the money if the user really like the app and would like to use it and keep it for a while. Of course, if the user decided the app is not good, they can just remove the app, and the app store stop the lease payment... I hope my idea will be applied to app store evey where.

I had this idea, when I was using IE6. I saw IE6 doesn't handle CSS2 as well as firefox does. Therefore I always think about how nice if IE6 allow a CSS interpreter plug-in function, so I can just grab the firefox CSS2 interpreter and plug it in to IE6, so i can continue to use IE6. IE6 is just an example I use here. My point is to give customer more choice and let customer's power to influence how each module should evolve. Instead of packaging everything into a single package where customer must accept everything that come with the package without a choice. My other example would be... if I buy a desktop computer set, but I hate the basic video card that come with the desktop. Everything else inside the computer set is great. Should I suffer and settle down with the basic video card? Or should I be able to choose the best video card in the market and plug into the computer. This way will stimulate the grow of better module (better graphic card... ) because there's a demand.

A lot of battery life (either increase battery size, or improve battery consumption). More screen space without increasing the laptop size. I wish a dual LCD monitor with 10' each. (7' or 9.8' are too small). The location of the second LCD should be located underneath the keyboard. And the regular LCD should be able to flip over like a tablet pc. Once it's flip backward. It can combine/joined the LCD screen with the screen that's underneath the keyboard and form a 12-14' LCD touch tablet screen (without keyboard). If it's not combined/joined, the dual screen will look like a book, for great ebook reading machine. Of course, you can always turn the screen back to the front and use it as a laptop with only 1 LCD turn on. That would be my perfect machine. 1Gb memory and a SDHC slot with a small but "fast" harddrive is all I needed. In conclusion: 1.5GHz CPU 1G RAM fast harddrive 7200RPM or SSD small enough to host OS and app SDHC for portable data dual small screen (possible touch screen, when it's used without keyboard) and should be able to combine to form 1 big screen. put as much battery life as my 3.5-4lb limit permitted. IMO, only 10%-15% of students can study independently, they're smart/hardworking. But the end result is, they understand the subject at the end by attending class, reading text book and doing the homework. For the rest of the students, 90%-85%, they don't understand the material totally. Only a few percent within that group actually want to honestly learn the technique by learning. The majority of the students, they just want to get by, by finishing the homework and get grade and pass the course. This is the different between a "learner" and a "student" in my definition. My definition of a "learner" is who would like to learn the technique understand it and apply it, regardless at the end if he/she get a good grade or not, but he/she retain the technique that they learn. My definition of a "student" is create by the grading system that the school created. They ("student") only cares about grade and passing the course. They will do anything to get grade and pass the course without really care about obtaining the technique or care about retaining the technique. So IMO, if a "learner" would use the collaboration technique to obtain knowledge, that is just to me. But if a "student" would use the collaboration technique to just pass the class or get good grade, that's not just. However, our society happens to need both type of people. People who love knowledge and become scientist or engineer. Or people just like to get things done... Both type of people need to pass the University and get a college degree.
